Trent Alexander-Arnold plays right-back for Real Madrid. Started home and away against Manchester City. He won the Premier League and Champions League at right-back with Liverpool. He’s used to dealing with pressure. He’s taken a decisive tournament penalty. He’s played in the World Cup before.
He has occasional defensive deficiencies but he brings a long-range passing skill that few possess. Are England that blessed at right-back that they don’t need Alexander-Arnold? That he isn’t amongst the best 30 outfield players available to Thomas Tuchel?

Spence & Livramento over Trent is the first bad selection error of Tuchel’s reign. Trent is back in decent form with Real Madrid and he actually complements a midfield trio of Anderson-Rice-Jude very nicely. He should be starting with Reece’s injury, never mind in the squad.

Thomas Tuchel is retarded. Pep Guardiola’s 2021 UCL final tactical mess up made this guy relevant enough to coach the england national team. Trent is the best passer in the english national team. Tuchel not being able to utilize that means one thing; England will not even play the world cup final - zero chance of winning it even if all the stars align and they get there.

Since 2014:
- Pep’s super City(115 charges) team, won only 1 UCL and another tie against Madrid, and in 5 other seasons(one with Pellegrini) Madrid threw City out.
- Klopp’s super Liverpool team lost 2 UCL finals to Madrid and got eliminated two other times by Madrid. Total loss.
- Bayern, despite domestic domination, kept getting thrown out by Madrid time and again.
- Simeone’s peak Atleti lost 2 UCL finals to Madrid and got eliminated three other times as well.
- Barça could not even sniff a UCL final after their UNICEF contract expired (ifykyk), while Madrid won 6 in that period.
- Juve’s super team of the 2010s got past Madrid only once, but Madrid threw them out twice, one of them in a final.
- PSG’s state-backed super team, built with €400+ million spent on Neymar and Mbappe alone in 2017/18, still got knocked out by Madrid. Then they added Messi to that project, and Madrid knocked them out again.
So yes, this BITTERNESS is completely understandable.
