A 14 year old violent felon has been arrested in NYC after he asked a 15 year old girl for her phone number and she declined to give it to him. For DEFENSIVE use of a handgun (NOT offensive), the need for a dot is just not there imo. Distances are short, and speed is paramount. For a pistol to be used at distance, a dot works great.
