@Bus80406

I like to think 95% of immigrants are respectful and productive. I do worry about the 5% illegals who cost money, cause crime and have poor views on women. EU

Noone knows. Druckenmiller was pretty cautious around 2020 I think. Then 2023 more optimistic again. Musk predicted a crash by Q4 last year I think. In a 2y old interview. Jim Rodgers has been vocal about a crash for last 7 years or so. Ray Dalio last couple of years I think. But honestly noone knows. They can just tell that the market is super overvalued now which historically has meant a bubble. Also some are concerned with US debt. They have a 5 trillion annual budget. They borrow like 2 trillion extra a year. One for debt interest and one for deficit. Druckenmiller used to say that he likes to look at some consumer industries for slowdowns. I think it was like groceries/walmarts. Maybe fast food restaurants. I forgot. He would look for weakness showing up there. Another signal is maybe consumer credit. People getting into trouble with payments and defaulting at a higher rate etc.

He said that his best year of his carreer was after the 70's crash and then again 2008 or so. Got companies with up to 80-90% discount. But to be fair he also just lately said that he does not see any good opportunities to invest into at these valuations. I think US stock market p/e ratio is the highest it has ever been, same for Buffet index. This AI transitional economy is quite strange in my opinion. 1. AI has a lot of potential to reduce labor costs etc. 2. Company valuations are ahead but tech might need another couple of years to catch up. If the bubble pops there is not much base to land on. 3. It will create a lot of unemployement meanwhile. Less consuming, potential economic slowdown effect. My international student friends in Germany have had a hard time finding any job for last 2 years already. Masters students, sent like 200 CV's. I think the job market is already a bit weak. Germany was supposed to be one the best places for jobs in Europe. It does not look so good at the moment. @grok what is buffet index? How much is it now?

Warren Buffett: “The principles [of investing] haven't changed at all… You try to evaluate where a business is going to be in 5 or 10 or 20 years and you try to buy it at the right price relative to that valuation…and you leave alone the ones you don't understand.”

The answers to many modern problems are simple but politically incorrect. So instead of solving anything, everybody pretends they don't know what's going on, and spend years misdiagnosing the issue, talking in circles, and wasting time.

@zerohedge These people are clinical morons. Sub 80 IQ's. Not a great fit in a knowledge economy. Nor in an information era(that the west has reached).

The USA is the wealthiest country in the world and spends 3-4x more on healthcare than any other high-income country, yet it has a life expectancy that's 3-4 years lower Many people blame the high rates of obesity and a highly processed diet for this, but the truth is a lot more nuanced than that⬇️⬇️

Germany is so far gone that even immigrants have their own jokes about themselves all being on welfare while the natives work to pay for their lifestyle. I will never understand this continent's willingness to put itself into servitude for the entire third world. It's sad.

I have a lot of grammar errors and I don't put much effort into re-reading my comments, always. Now the marketer Hormozi has said that he gets 50% higher ROI on paid ads when he uses 3rd to 5th grader language. Trump apparently uses 4th grader language. But if I look at the President's posts, then I see he always writes very coherently, without errors. Clear structured sentences, correct punctuation. I guess even in simplicity one should keep readability. I don't think people can take you seriously otherwise. I noticed that skimming over my posts does not really make errors visible. Reading out loud does. So now I will be reading all my posts out loud before sending.

But yeah they might be going after the rich that keep money is assets or something. Not sure what the incentive is. Obviously noone can become rich with that taxation. They will either fight a bit or leave the country. Simple as that. Import low qualification/ability immigrants -> heavy on welfare(some nationalities 20k per year per person) -> need to increase tax revenue -> drive away the brains who actually created tax revenue in the first place. -> go to next cycle even poorer.

@xbc9stazj Another way to look at it: 10x10x10x10 = 10 000 7×7×7×7= 2000 With 4 years 80% of returns are eaten. I guess the gov tries to kill the goose that lays golden eggs for one-off soup.

@xbc9stazj I took a Buffet's quote/example showing selling every year vs holding till end. And then added Netherland's case. Calculated with AI. Neither you get much. Nor does the gov. Everyone loses.

@hemabe @StatisticUrban They are overdoing this guilt complex. The kids born today(or anywhere after to be frank(80 years has passed) had nothing to do with it. Time to get over. Even Merkel herself obviously had nothing to do with it since she was born later.

Germany is a sick country and needs such actions for its spiritual salvation. Whether it’s the millions of refugees who were needlessly allowed into the country and who are slowly but surely heralding its downfall, or now the heroic rescue of this whale... Germany needs these platforms to project its image in order to prove its moral superiority to the world, and ultimately to symbolically compensate — not by undoing, but through publicly staged morality — for the atrocities of World War II.

Wealth permits a morality to exist that would be incomprehensible to our ancestors. E.g. Germany yesterday finally captured the stranded whale whose story had gripped the nation, and is now escorting him via barge back to the deeper Atlantic. An enormous, multiday operation.

Germany's Chancellor has opened around 300 criminal investigations against people who insulted him. His office spent months in court trying to hide which prosecutors were handling them. They lost. A guy in Stuttgart called Merz a "drunkard." Police searched his house. A court just ordered Germany's Chancellor to reveal every prosecutor handling his insult cases. reclaimthenet.org/merz-insult-la…
