BREAKING: CBS News drops Tuesday bombshell, reveals that Georgia prosecutor Fani Willis just “hinted in letters to Fulton County officials that potential indictments” against Trump for trying to steal Biden’s win “could come as soon as July 31.”
But it gets WORSE for Trump…
CBS reports that the grand jury has been keeping busy — even meeting today for multiple hours — and is now a “sprawling investigation” that has interviewed a whopping 75 witnesses, including members of Trump’s inner circle such as Rudy Giuliani, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, former Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, and even Republican critics of Trump such as political critics such as Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and Georgia Governor Brian Kemp.
Adding insult to injury for Trump, the best part about this looming indictment is that, even if Trump or another Republican wins the 2024 presidential election, Trump cannot be pardoned for these criminal charges because they are state charges — and presidential pardons can only apply to federal charges.
