My photo from Merrion Sq shows traffic congestion due to heavy rain..In any other capital city in Europe there would be traffic cops on all the main arteries leaving the city.70 minutes to get from Pearse St to Clontarf!!Garda bosses just can’t get the simple day to day right..

@IrishRail Not the case here - ticket was fine. Met another chap at the turnstile similarly affected. Staff in my local station told me it’s a known issue going on for years.

@IrishRail Bought a return ticket to Pearse today. Didn’t let me out of the station when i got there so had to tailgate. Happens all the time by all accounts. Return journey same story!!
