I want this to work. But I am trying to think of any time where a pressure campaign made a studio turn around and *really* support a production that they had cancelled.
Star Trek got a third season back in the 60's after a letter writing campaign (shadow orchestrated by Gene Roddenberry), but the network passive-aggressively cut its budget and gave it a terrible time slot, guaranteeing failure anyway.
It took freakin' *Star Wars* to get Paramount to about-face on Star Trek.
People have tried crowd-funding stuff and online campaigns and petitions and on and on for various cancelled shows.
Egos are involved and there are also competing shows involved. Not sure what the answer is.

I see your point, but I think this is the best chance to break the cycle. This group is excited about keeping the original spirit of the franchise, to the point where @martingero pushed back against the studio execs, which is why the project was scrapped.
I think he, @bradtravelers, & @BaronDestructo can resist the pressure and create a show worthy of the franchise. Otherwise, Amazon-MGM will just wait a year or so and then make a reboot which once again ignores the original fans.

Twitter really has changed my life for the better. Hanging out with friends that I would only know through meeting them on here. Friends that I now visit regularly. Take vacations with. Go to their weddings. Shave my ear hair for a nice evening out. People that have only made my life better and more fun. People I would do anything for. This place really can be fun and a major life positive if you let it.

Yeah but they also ended on kind of a... passive aggressive failure for the last few episodes. Just like Season 3 of Trek. You see what I mean? Both the creative team AND the studio executives have to be gung-ho or it just goes into a tailspin no matter what, one side or the other forces failure, even if subconsciously

@FilmLadd I admit it's an uphill battle, but it can work. A fan campaign saved The Expanse... although rumor is Jeff Bezos was a fan of the show, so there's that.
