Confessional. Descendant of John Alden + Priscilla Mullins, the Palatinate migration of 1723, Peter Chamois the Huguenot, and John Jones the reluctant Regicide.

@FilmLadd These guys have been waiting their whole lives for this, and they know so much more about the country and its internal politics than I do, so if they feel encouraged I’ll keep patience. The Soviet Union collapsed from within first.

Meh. Sounds like more of the same. Kids and grandkids are going to have to deal with the IRGC and its terrorism against the U.S. in perpetuity.

@FilmLadd There are positive signs though — the latest from this channel under “Live” explain the infighting! (Caution: language). @liberty-polit" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@liberty-polit… There’s a meltdown in Iran as Iran’s police clash with the IRGC. Collapse has to happen before the Iranians can change the regime.

Never forget - the D party doesn’t want the welders, cafeteria staff and regular workers to become rich. They want them on welfare. They want their vote, not their success.

A welder took a $28 an hour job in 2015 at a company he had never heard of. On Friday, Juan Hernandez became a millionaire. He spent ten years building the structures that lifted rockets onto the launch pad. SpaceX paid him partly in stock, the way it paid its cooks, machinists, technicians and cafeteria staff, equity instead of bigger salaries. His $10,000 grant grew into $880,000 at the IPO price. The first day pop carried it past a million. He is 42, an immigrant from Mexico, married, three kids. He says he is keeping the job. He is not the outlier. He is the pattern. 4,400 current and former SpaceX employees became millionaires on Friday. One in five people who ever badged into the company. About 400 of them are walking away with $100 million or more. One employee took every cash bonus in stock instead of money. He is sitting on 50,000 shares, worth more than $8 million at Friday's prices. And then there is the other side of the cafeteria. Some employees sold their shares years ago, certain the company would never go public because Musk said he hated public markets. A few traded their stock for restaurant gift cards. The New York Times says they are consumed by regret. Same grant, same building, same years. One group held the claim. The other ate it. None of the winners can touch the money yet. The first selling window opens after the August earnings report, and the rest unlocks in waves through December. Underneath all of it sits the only lesson the market ever teaches. The welder and the gift card came from the same place. The difference was never the work. It was the ownership. Salary pays for the month. Equity pays for the era. A cook in Brownsville just answered the question every buyer of SPCX is asking at $170: what is a claim on this company actually worth? The piece prices that exact question at $2.2 trillion.

Taxing unrealized gains doesn’t work. If I were taxed on what my company is worth instead of my actual income, I’d have to sell my company to afford the taxes.

@derekradney Then, please, for our sakes (as you seek to defrock our good pastors over mild banter), form a nondenominational church of your own. Denominations exist precisely by elevating baptism, polity, worship, eschatology, etc. into de facto essentials for fellowship/ordination.

Men who cannot tell the difference between disagreements over matters essential to the Christian faith and matters of secondary and tertiary importance (or matters of conscience) are not qualified to be elders or pastors. This is not some manmade standard being added to Scripture; it is a necessary entailment of "sober-minded," "able to teach," "not quarrelsome," and "not a recent convert...puffed up with conceit."

Yes - this is what Bradley does, which is to throw the accusation of “racist” around so easily. It seems like “unwholesome speech” to me, but probably not to the woke men in the PCA, who see it as acceptable because of their oppressor/oppressed ideology and even, sadly, theology.
Nathan Brooks@NathanB34395510

@megbasham @thisisfoster @ZacharyGarris @drantbradley Bradly, in 2023, essentially called me a redneck racist in an interaction because I serve a church in the deep south. He then later deleted his comments so they couldn't be seen. Link below. Notice my last comment about my heritage. x.com/NathanB3439551…

Yesterday I was sitting by the pool at the gym. There were few Muslim women in hijab and full Islamic dress. Of course they weren't there to swim, they had come with their children, some with their husbands. You can't help but notice how the men swim with the infidel women while the wife sits there in the sun, fully dressed. One woman first loosened her hijab a little to let the air in, then pulled it back a bit, until it ended up on her neck, then she'd pull it back up. You feel like she wants to burn that rag but just can't. This reminded me of my mom. She never took the hijab off in her life, except one day. We went out as a family, but my dad made sure we were far from anyone who might recognize us, and he let my mom wear a skirt, without a hijab, that day. I've never seen my mom that happy. Hijab is not a choice, and even when a woman chooses it, she does so because she was programmed. It is abnormal and against humanity, and what it does to a woman, and to society, goes far beyond what you'd think.

None. No species relies on mosquitoes as their primary food source. Bats, birds (purple martins eat <3%), dragonflies, fish (including mosquitofish), frogs & spiders consume them opportunistically as a tiny part of varied diets. Toxorhynchites larvae prefer other mosquito larvae but eat broader aquatic prey too. Ecosystems would adapt fine.

All the species alive today are less than .01% of the species that have been identified throughout history The notion that we can't kill off all the mosquitoes without some cataclysm is absurd Mosquitoes have been a plague on humanity our whole existence Wipe em out

Last night, masked individuals at Delaney Hall attacked the barrier in the protected protest area and began aggressive and dangerous actions against Newark and New Jersey State Police, including throwing projectiles, utilizing the barriers as weapons, and lighting tires on fire in the street. These actions put both peaceful protestors and law enforcement in danger. The police were not in protective gear; they had been on location since early in the morning ensuring protestors and counter protestors had areas to exercise their rights safely. As these dangerous actions took place, additional support was needed to protect civilians and law enforcement.  My number one priority will always be public safety, and I remain dedicated to protecting constitutional rights. We simply cannot let ICE surge into our community. I do not know why these individuals attacked or what they wanted to accomplish, but I refuse to let these dangerous actions detract from New Jersey’s dedication to ensuring public safety, keeping people safe from ICE, and that the people detained inside Delaney Hall are treated with dignity.  While NJSP and Newark PD continue to keep the area secure, I once again urge everyone who shares these goals to work together to bring the temperature down. We must focus on advocating for better conditions for the detainees, for their families, and ultimately, for the closure of Delaney Hall, as well as to protect the many peaceful protestors who continue to make this their mission.
