The theology of this post makes total sense except the words “Imperialist occupation”, what is he saying here?!?!? Christian theology does not define that term or use it in this way. So, we have a communist American pope? Where does a nationstate end and an imperialist occupation begin? What size of land? What number of people? Are we suppose to go back to tiny tribes in constant war over land? Are we suppose to freeze country lines on a random date in history dissassociated with Christs time on earth? Is he saying he supports democracy but using communist terms to convey that? This post needs explanation.

In The Passion of the Christ, there is a disturbing scene where Satan is shown holding a deformed baby while Jesus is being whipped. Mel Gibson said the scene was meant to be a dark version of the Virgin Mary and child, meant to mock purity and innocence. While Mary watches her Son being tortured, Satan mirrors her by carrying a demonic child through the crowd. This scene suggests that Evil appears to show care for its child, while God seems to have left His Son to suffer alone.
