I have had a surge of news followers so I figured it’s a good time to tell everyone what this page stands for… I’m a consider myself a “Common Sense Liberal”. . . I believe : - No one should tell others what to do with their bodies - if you want an abortion you should be able to get one. If you don’t want to get vaccinated you don’t have to. (As long as your choice does not affect others). - LGBTQ people should have every single human right that straight people do. HOWEVER, I believe transgender people pose an unfair advantage in sports and thus should not be allowed to compete in competitive leagues. - Unions make America great and are the only protection we have from mega corporations. - Billionaires should not exist - close tax loop holes that disproportionately help the 1%. Tax tax tax. - I believe in the 2nd amendment to own a firearm… but I also believe in common sense gun laws. No citizen needs weapons of war. They should be for self defense or hunting only. - I believe there is rampant federal corruption from both political parties. - There needs to be term limits for all elected officials. - I do not care if the federal government requires ID’s to vote - but if they do the ID’s should be free and easy to obtain. - Abortion is a personal choice and I don’t care what others do. Just like I don’t care if you get vaccinated or not (as long as it does not pose a public health risk). - I believe we should never fund a perpetrator of violence (Israel) but we should fund allies defense (Ukraine). - I believe defunding police is a silly take. They need more funding for training and exposure to crisis situations. - The electoral college is a scam. It silences deep red/blue states and only focuses on a few handful of states. No voter should have more say. - Gerrymandering needs to end. Both parties are guilty of it. - federal agencies like the DOJ,FBI, CIA etc. need to be separate unbiased and bipartisan. - Every single member of congress should be required to work 40 hours a week. Taking 16-20 weeks off a year is INSANE! - No more pork bills. Single issue bills. Stop burying your self interests 120 pages into a BS bill. -I believe in science. - I believe in a strong border and I’m anti illegal immigration. But there is a right way and a wrong way to deport people. We need immigration reform so it’s not so difficult for people to come in legally. - Public service workers are the backbone of our country. Teachers, police, firefighters, town hall workers etc. - I believe transgender kids exist but I do not agree with irreversible surgeries or treatments until they are 18 years old. - I believe that college is not for everyone but to discourage young adults from going is silly. - Blue states are inherently better run and have been for decades. - Our defense budget is ridiculous… we could cut $250 billion from the budget and fund free public college for everyone in the country and still have a larger budget than China, Russia, India, Germany, and the UK combined. - Healthcare is a human right. - All forms of insurance need to be reformed. They should not be for profit at all. If we are required to have it, we should not be price gouged. - Clean energy is the future but there is still a need for fossil fuels. - Federal spending needs to be cut, but it cannot come from public services. We need to increase revenue by taxing billionaires and corporations.
