My sophomore year, my coach - the great Norm Persin - told 15 year old me I “couldn’t guard a fucking snowman with no arms” in the middle of a game and broke his marker he was bashing it so hard on the clipboard as he screamed it into my face.
I went on to be a 2x top 100 underclassmen showcase invitee, 2x all state, district player of the year, etc. after that moment.
Yeah, I think kids could probably use a little more of this kind of coaching.

It's always a good idea for the coach to have a goal with every interaction they have with their players. Whatever Pitino wants from his player, do you think this is the **best** way to get him to change the way he's playing?
