Our final workshop stream is around discussing support for #vulnerable #youngpeople around tackling severe #absence in #Rochdale & #Wakefield by taking a #granular approach @katie_digiorgi @SteveKayFRSA @MyWakefield @Wakefield_ES #LocalEd25

Support for #vulnerable young people around #transitions is being explored with colleagues from #Coventry & #Wiltshire focusing on this important area to improve practice & the difference this has made to individual young people. @coventrycc @wiltscouncil #LocalEd25

Other workshops covering developing new models of #accountability with a particular focus on #schoolreport cards in #Sheffied @learnsheffield & #MiltonKeynes – hearing more about their work with #schoolleaders & #families @johoarty @stpauls_mk

Good to hear from John Edwards, Director General at the DfE on RISE teams, importance of local systems and also the role of Local Government in terms of leadership, convening, planning and delivery of school improvement. The importance of seeing all schools as one local system #LocalEd25

Hearing from #Ealing @EalingLearning & #Surrey @schoolsallexcel on developing new models of professional #accountability, including a 'high challenge/low threat culture', #peerreview, work in school-based #learningclusters & digital self-evaluations of #inclusion #localed25

By embedding a #traumainformed approach with support from #localed25, @rochdalecouncil #RaisingRochdale has seen some school attendance rates rise from 10% to 90% within months. @katie_digiorgi, Strategic Lead for Engagement & Attendance has written a powerful piece for @cypnow
