Dating apps have created a bizarro world where each sex gets the experience the other wants. Women get thousands of static photos of strangers, most of them willing potential mates. Men get to beautify themselves, be patient and feel extremely special to the one that picks them

I don’t think people realize how different life is for the average woman vs. the average man. An average 5/10 woman can download a dating app tonight and have 1,000+ likes by the weekend. She can get free dinners daily, free drinks, VIP tables, World Cup tickets, boat invites, vacations, and attention without asking. An above-average 7/10 guy gets a handful of matches a week, has to build a career, stay in shape, make the first move, handle rejection, and still compete with hundreds of other guys.

One time I was picking up a friend with “time blindness” to go see the eclipse a few years ago. We agreed on 9AM. I show up at 9:30 knowing he will be late. We didn’t leave until 10:30 as he kept stalling. Even as a disability what am I supposed to do, just wait an extra hour and a half in my car every time? Just never agree to meet?

I'm so tired of lateness being viewed as a moral failing. I've been shamed for it my whole life because it's framed as "disrespect" (and no, it hasn't helped me be more punctual) and if I lost out on a major life opportunity because of it I don't think I could have ever recovered

I say this with no ill will or animosity: if you hate the Democratic Party, then please don’t run for our nomination.
Don’t use our resources. Don’t rely on our volunteers. Don’t use our infrastructure. Don’t ask Democrats to invest their time, money, and energy in your campaign.
Focus on building the party you actually support.
Political parties aren’t perfect, but they’re built by millions of people who knock doors, make calls, organize meetings, and fight for the values they believe in. If you don’t believe in the party, then don’t ask its members to carry you across the finish line.

@udadditastebuds The only time it was ever bad was coming out of COVID and that was Children of Men level of fucked some days. People obviously living on train cars, fights, drugs. But that was about three months.

I have lived in Chicago for over a decade and have taken literally thousands of CTA rides and I have never once been on the same train car as someone lighting a crack pipe. Does crazy shit happen on the train sometimes? Yes. But people like this are so fucking tired man. Loser!!
