@_ZachFoster You do not seem to understand overwhelming force. Iran cannot hold anything without weapons. No one is coming to their aide. Clock is ticking.

People don't seem to understand what is happening. Iran has decided that it will control the straits of hormuz for the indefinite future. That means, we, global energy consumers, will be paying an additional energy tax, since it will take years if not decades for Iran to repair & reconstruct the civilian infrastructure being destroyed. We are going to pay to rebuild Iran, not Iran. It's strange that people don't understand this.

We are witnessing the end of the USA-dominated world order. The current US administration’s policies are leading us in that direction. Europe is getting stronger. China is getting stronger. Russia is getting stronger. US power is weakening after alienating its allies. The petrodollar is weakening, and oil may soon be traded in other currencies. The USD is weakening because of all of this, and it will be very hard to turn things around now. And the saddest part? They did it to themselves.

Europe is impotent no matter how large its population is. It's more likely that Germany and France go to war against each other after the US leaves NATO, than Europe ever becoming this badass super continent Europe had 60+ years of US military protection and they still couldn't get their collective shit together. They have no industrial base, no massive electrical sources and no spine to stand up to anyone.
Anthony LaMesa@ajlamesa

The United States can absolutely do what MAGA wants and leave NATO, pulling all our troops out of Europe. But I don’t think the people demanding that right now will like the deals a future European Union will make with China, Russia, and Iran. Once Ukraine, the UK, and the Balkan countries join, the EU would have a population almost twice that of the United States — and Brussels wouldn’t give a shit about Lindsey Graham’s threats.

@tedcruz Are you missing the bigger reality here??? Can those nations truly attack Islam? All of their cities are populated with up to millions of potential combatants. Has this been considered as part of the reason for their policy?

FRANCE JUST SIDED WITH RUSSIA AND CHINA AGAINST THE US AT THE UN France is a NATO ally. A NATO ally just blocked an American resolution at the United Nations. Alongside Russia. Alongside China. The Strait of Hormuz carries 20% of the world's oil. Iran has shut it down for US and Israeli ships. Nobody at the UN will authorize force to reopen it. Not even America's own ally. Hours after France blocked the vote, Iran let a French ship through the strait. France cut a deal with Iran behind America's back. Let that sink in.

Does the GOP not realize that no decent person wants to associate with people who act this way in public? The brand is toxic. This is all they know now.

Trump loves voting by mail, but he wants to take away your ability to do so. We’re taking him to court to keep him from rigging our elections.

BREAKING: We’re filing a lawsuit to challenge Trump’s illegal executive order attacking vote by mail. In partnership with @ChuckSchumer, @HakeemJeffries, the @DSCC, the @DCCC, and the @DemGovs, we’re taking action to ensure every eligible American can make their voices heard at the ballot box.

@chriswithans Interesting take. You are saying even though Dem pols instituted policies to deter development, business growth, and improving schools is somehow not a Democratic policies thing.

Right-wingers are going to tell you it's because of Democrat policies, but they're wrong. It's just because those places have become increasingly unlivable for middle class families. Schools are terrible, roads are in disrepair, taxes are extremely burdensome, and everything just costs too much. And there aren't that many good jobs. Now right-wingers will tell you that it's all because of Democrat policies, but no. It all comes down to an inability to build (because of regulations and taxes, NOT Democrat policies) to meet sky-high demand from all the foreigners coming in, which by the way increases housing values and thus reduces the state budgetary deficits that have grown by orders of magnitude since Democrats took over those states and cities.
Zachary Donnini@ZacharyDonnini

NEW — Net domestic migration data from 2020–2025 shows a reshuffling of where Americans live. People are fleeing cities (especially in CA, the Northeast, and the Rust Belt) and moving to suburban and rural areas across the Southeast, Texas, the Ozarks, and the Mountain West.

@spencertbarber Duh. The "me" generation. Look it up. Either way they've always been self-centered, selfish, and self absorbed. The challenge for your Gen is no one taught y'all adversity and or political history. Boomer life was shit too during their recession (75-85).

I hate to play into generational stereotypes, but they can feel very real sometimes. I was traveling with my family last night, and we were in the hotel hot tub with two baby boomer couples. They were going off about how much golf they’re playing. The conversation shifted to the war, and first they complained about Trump’s speech interrupting their shows, then about how the war is hurting their retirement accounts. It was amazing to me that two couples who probably don’t have more than 15 years left didn’t say one thing about their posterity for a whole hour, but talked about golf, TV, and stock prices. I’m a millennial, but I have daily conversations with multiple people from Gen Z, and the attitude feels completely different. Gen Z seems optimistic but realistic. They know the fate of the future is in their hands, and they’re focused on making sure things are better for their future kids. I honestly don’t know what happened to the baby boomers. I know many are great, but many can also be intolerable.

@EastPointMadeMe Republicans due to gerrymandering (both sides) typically do not have black constituents. Yes, at the national level but locally, not really. Honestly the entire premise of conservative is to not have government do things for you. It is counterintuitive.

What are the current Republicans doing for Black people? Why would Black people align with Klan/Nazi ideology like Great Replacement Theory? Its pretty simple why Black people with good sense dont vote for Republicans.

This is just such a bald faced and amazingly stupid lie. “Everyone” is not afraid of being physically hurt by Israel. Tucker is flat out making that up or he’s lost his mind even more than I thought. Just nonsense.
Furkan Gözükara@FurkanGozukara

BOMBSHELL: Tucker Carlson drops a terrifying truth about Washington. He confirms US policymakers at every single level are physically afraid of Israel and the intelligence agencies. The American government is completely held hostage by a foreign power.

Prediction: Bondi's replacement will be worse because the reason Bondi is bad is because Trump wants his AG to be his personal attorney. She was competent before this. Tulsi's replacement will be better because Trump needs good intelligence for the war and counterterrorism.

@David_J_Bier It is antiquated and abused. The legislature who wrote the amendment never considered it as it is today. It is not about nativism. It is about basic respect. People who are abusing this system plan to continue abusing it.
