For decades, Gulf states eagerly sold out their sovereignty, turning their territories into a massive US and European military launchpad to encircle Iran on behalf of Washington and Israel. They traded regional stability for a so-called "security umbrella," but the illusion of Gulf neutrality is officially dead. Now that the US and Israel have ignited a catastrophic regional war, these host nations are acting shocked that their own refineries and gas terminals are going up in flames. You can't host the empire's bases and then cry foul when the blowback destroys your own backyard.

Today, Trump postponed striking Iran’s energy infrastructure out of fear of fluctuations in U.S market prices. Yet for over twenty days, he has watched Gulf societies come under Iranian missile strikes, as Gulf economies incur tens of billions of dollars in damages - without this prompting any change in his decisions. When the Qatari Minister of Energy warned his American counterpart that striking Iran’s gas fields would inevitably trigger retaliatory strikes against gas fields in the Gulf, he was disregarded. They attacked Iran anyway, leaving the Gulf states to face their fate alone against Iranian missiles. Striking Iran’s gas fields did not create any strategic advantage, but rather inflicted massive losses upon the Gulf’s energy sector, which ultimately benefits American gas companies. Trump only speaks about the Strait of Hormuz or the price of oil. In his eyes, the Gulf societies are barely worth a single barrel of crude.

On the occasion of Pakistan Day (23 March), @ROinPakistan announces the historic launch of the first-ever choral arrangement and score of Pakistan’s national anthem, Qaumi Tarana 🇵🇰🇷🇴 Realized by the National Chamber Choir “Madrigal – Marin Constantin” with the support of the Embassy, this unique cultural project represents a true musical milestone 🎶✨ For the first time, a fully notated choral score has been created for an anthem originally conceived as an orchestral composition—requiring a complete rethinking of how its rich musical language could be expressed through human voices alone. The process involved significant artistic and technical challenges 🎼 With its wide tonal range, complex harmonic structure, and continuously evolving musical phrasing, the anthem does not naturally lend itself to choral adaptation. The team carefully redistributed orchestral elements across soprano, alto, tenor, and bass voices, ensuring both musical balance and vocal feasibility. Special attention was also given to the precise articulation of the highly Persianized Urdu lyrics in a choral setting.
