The last event we did like this, we used @eventbrite. To our surprise, Eventbrite told us that our event was automatically tagged and would not be allowed in their search or for advertising. As a result, I took the time to find an alternative way to do tickets ourselves and now, ticket buyers don't pay an extra fee to Eventbrite and we don't have to lose a large portion of the ticket to Eventbrite. Less costs for you, more of the money stays with us. Win-win! Thank you Eventbrite for being such a woke business that you forced us to replace you.

So @eventbrite just sent us a notice about our screening events of The Shot: Sean Hartman’s Story, saying they will be restricting the distribution of our events for not being suitable based on their community guidelines. Humm, a true story about a hockey player who died, that they have never seen, is not suitable? They did this for our Fundamental Truth event as well, with no actual reason given. No worries. Tomorrow is the final event and going forward, we will not be using Eventbright for any of our event ticketing.
