@BujMit The way BJP and its affiliated workers are behaving after winning - attacking Mamta and TMC workers - if this continues, I can give in writing that TMC will be back in 2031. The more they are attacked, the more they will mobilize under the TMC flag.

There's no sympathy for Mamata in the urban middle class/upper-middle class! Her antics won't work this time. She is a spent force.

These two IPS officers refused to vacate their seats although at least 5 newly elected BJP MLAs —including @swapan55 —were standing. Others got up to accommodate them. The woman IPS officer did not even stand up when the PM came on the podium. Should they not be pulled up?

@ReshmiDG Papiya sultana is a legend, it's ok if she doesn't stand. She did her work well and that's what matters, she did very well to ensure voters are not intimidated

And I even repeatedly told them “You are not getting up to give seats to newly elected BJP MLAs at a swearing in ceremony of Bengal’s first BJP govt???” They did not reply. And the woman IPS officer, #papiyasultana, did not even stand up when the PM entered the podium!

We have fought an extremely difficult election where nearly 30 lakh genuine voters were allegedly disenfranchised from the electoral rolls. Throughout this entire process, we witnessed what we believe was deeply partisan conduct by several government agencies as well as the Election Commission of India. Democratic institutions that are meant to function impartially appeared compromised, raising serious concerns about the fairness, credibility and transparency of the electoral process in West Bengal. From the counting process to allegations surrounding the handling and movement of EVMs, Mismatch of Control Units, several disturbing incidents have left millions of people questioning whether the true mandate of the people has been respected. I have already demanded the release of CCTV FOOTAGE FROM THE COUNTING CENTRES and a transparent counting of VVPAT slips so that the truth can come before the people and every doubt can be addressed openly and honestly. Democracy can only survive when electoral institutions inspire trust and confidence among citizens. Unfortunately, what we have witnessed has deeply shaken that trust. At the same time, reports of post-poll violence, attacks on party offices, intimidation of our party workers and threats against supporters are deeply alarming and unacceptable in a democratic society. Many dedicated Trinamool workers and supporters who fought tirelessly on the ground have allegedly faced targeted attacks and have been forced to flee their homes out of fear and insecurity. No political worker in a democracy should ever have to choose between their safety and their political beliefs. Keeping the democratic traditions of this great nation above everything else, my colleagues and I in the Trinamool Congress will continue to stand firmly with the people of West Bengal and with every Trinamool worker who fought tooth and nail against what we believe was a compromised electoral machinery. We will continue to be a strong, vocal and uncompromising opposition both in Delhi and WB. Under the guidance and leadership of Mamata Banerjee, our fight for democracy, constitutional values and the rights and dignity of the people will continue without fear and without compromise. I urge every Trinamool supporter and worker to stay strong and united during this difficult time. If anyone has been subjected to post-poll violence, intimidation, or threats, I request them to reach out and share their details with me or DM me. I will do everything within my capacity to ensure their safety and security and pursue every available legal and democratic remedy. I will stand shoulder to shoulder with every Trinamool worker and supporter in this fight to ensure that truth prevails and that both governments now work genuinely in the interests of the people of West Bengal. @subhsays @JDantifragile If Bengali loves them, then why they have to fix election using EC, central forces and forces and executives from BJP ruled states, ED and CBI.

They said that BJP will destroy the culture of Bengal if comes to power. And today whole Kolkata is crowded with Dhakis - the centre of Bengali culture. Mind you, BJP is yet to take oath in the state. This is the change we were rooting for.

TMC's peak was during 1st week of February when TMC govt announced freebies and Mamta went to Supreme court on SIR Since then they were going downward and BJP going upward BJP's peak started from 14 th March after Brigade rally and peaked with Manifesto release and then good candidate selection Final push after SC's SIR verdict and 27 lakh exclusion and PM's rallies in Every districts 😄

@Aagan86 Mamata banerjee is 71 years old, she will be 76 in 2031. Her party has no Ideology, TMC isn't the same party if grassroot struggles in ealey 2000. Once bengal topples an incumbent government,they don't go back to them easily.

Those who are writing off Mamata Banerjee, should do so at their own peril. This isn't even her biggest setback. In 2004, TMC was decimated, reduced to just one MP and 29 MLAs. But like a wounded tigress, she fought and swept to power. She is a fighter. She will bounce back.
