@creation247 So? You are talking about him And? The Flynn effect and so? What does wealth have to do with anything? What does his dislike of Christianity have to do with anything? Why is he not getting women important? What does him doing something you don't like have to do with anything

@FaithPhoenix123 @TheSkepticWiz Why does God even need to do that? Why can't he just teach them the right way then? Even if they didn't listen, they would have written it down and thus show modern values in an ancient text.

@Pybro5 @TheSkepticWiz A good example of God using flawed people is Samson. He was proud, arrogant, dishonest and a womaniser however God used his strength and leadership and after Samson’s greatest fall, was used to defeat an evil people. God desires people who seek His will (despite their mess).

@Pybro5 @TheSkepticWiz The Ammonites were an evil people who were oppressing Israel. God uses broken, flawed people such as Jeb (an excellent warrior to stop the evil Ammonite) in their time. Just like many other judges, God used them for good even with their sins and mistakes .

@dypethic @FaithPhoenix123 @TheSkepticWiz Then why did God let Jeb win in the first place know full well he was going to get a human sacrifice? God could have just let Jeb lose and teach him that he would not allow any human sacrifice.

@Pybro5 @FaithPhoenix123 @TheSkepticWiz Doesn’t necessarily imply approval of the vow or of what Jephthah later did. Key distinction is between God granting military victory and God endorsing every action or vow made by the human leader (including deeply flawed characters like Jep).

@Pybro5 @creation247 This incorrect quotation can't be sourced outside of this tweet, it appears. Inferences are flawed. Plus, you're omitting the context that perfection will occur at the conclusion of moral life for those who are in Christ, not in their current existence.

@Pybro5 @TheSkepticWiz Jep was going against God’s will here (just like many people in judges) and clearly shouldn't have kept such a foolish oath (or made it in the first place) and offered his best animal instead if he felt lead.

@FaithPhoenix123 @TheSkepticWiz I get you, but I think anti-abortion causes harms women's health. In the sense that it causes something called the Chilling Effect, where there is something in a woman's uterus that is causing issues but you would not call a featus, but it's a legal grey area.

@Pybro5 @TheSkepticWiz Hi Pybro! I don’t think I have ever mentioned this Scripture but am happy to put my hat in the ring. Being open, I am pro-life and think everyone is made in God-image. We shouldn’t kill innocent human beings and this is an important topic to me as I could have been aborted.

@Pybro5 @TheSkepticWiz Ezekiel 16:20-21 and 23:37-39 does show God’s hatred for burning children alive (which I think we can all agree is evil) and 18:4 demonstrates God’s authority over life. Context: this was to do with the evil child burning at the time and Israel’s rebellion against God.

@FaithPhoenix123 @TheSkepticWiz I don't recall anything in the Bible on pedophilia. But the Bible does condone chattel slavery. Leviticus 25:44 - 46 condones it.

@Pybro5 @TheSkepticWiz I think Ezekiel was interested in tackling child-sacrifice. I believe God has transformed society over time, such as getting rid of death games, widespread pederasty, chattle slavery... We should stop all forms of sacrificing children and support mothers to care for their kids

@Pybro5 @sola_chad God is fully in control of all things, yet humans still make real choices and are responsible for them. Christianity holds both as true, even if the tension isn’t fully resolved. You should read On the Freedom of the Will by Edwards.

@Pybro5 @NotEvolution1 You can lecture God Himself about it before He banishes you to Hell forever and see how well it works out for you. Whining about it to christians doesn't change anything.

@Pybro5 @NotEvolution1 That's a distorted narrative that omits traits, including the relational nature of God.

@Pybro5 @sola_chad The basic premise is optically a simple narrative regarding the fall of angelic beings and how that synthesizes when comparisons are made with mankind within the context of the omnipotency held. How much have you studied on the paradox of free will and sovereignty?
