Daylighting saves lives by removing parking closest to intersections so drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians can see each other better. Hardened daylighting is especially effective — using flex posts, planters, bike racks, or barriers to slow down turning vehicles.

We’re heartbroken that two New Yorkers lost their lives today on the Queensboro Bridge. Crashes like these are entirely preventable. That’s why we’re calling on the City Council to pass Intro 244, by @CMCrystalHudson, to prevent the sale of the most dangerous e-vehicles.

Last night, the Stop Super Speeders bill was passed as a part of this year’s New York State budget package! The bill will empower New York City to establish a program requiring speed-limiter devices on vehicles that receive 16+ speeding tickets in a single year.

There's a new bike lane on Centre Street, and we're thrilled to see that paint is already on the ground — well before the World Cup, as promised. This redesign will provide much-needed room for the Brooklyn Bridge's >10 million annual visitors!

Big news for anyone who walks or bikes over the Brooklyn Bridge: the Manhattan entrance has been redesigned! Pedestrians and people on bikes will no longer have to compete for space while trying to get on and off this iconic landmark.
