been seeing this sorta opinion today. why does the concept of banning six cards (one of which is a misprint) "feel worse" than banning literally thousands of cards? i honestly don't understand this opinion at all. a handful of bans before omens seems fine?

@BrambleSpark We call this set structure "Hot Pot". One shared central pot (Mystic in the case is MST, Pirate for SEA, Lightning for OMN), with 3 classes that sit around it. Name comes from the traditional Chinese style of communal dining, also called steam boat across parts of Southeast Asia.

@dahliaplz More of a western thing imo. Rush Duel in Japan was made to keep up with the youth. In America, age of TCG players kept going up because TCGs kept pricing out kids. Collecting 1 pack at a time is still popular, but YGO isn't collectible w/o media to market

@BlakeMeier Sorry, to clarify, I think the draft environment is constricting hero representation. I think if this was an non-draft set, we would have had ice or chaos or something that doesn't play nice with arcane at the draft level.

I think SAGE might be worse then Blitz #fabtcg I think for this format to have worked as intended, they needed to build it from the ground up and not repurpose their assets made for a 40life format. Blitz was not great, but this is just bad. Im not looking fwd to Japan 😢

Okay, after testing and going through the first pq. I hate SAge, this format sucks and I don't know if it's salvageable. Lot of things I don't like about it are just systemic issues with cutting majestics and cutting life to 20. I legit had more fun with blitz last time #fabtcg
