I'm fairly sure Braverman won't be the next leader. She's too far off the reservation now to get 33 of her colleagues to support her. It's not impossible she joins Reform at some point.

Suella Braverman’s speech in Washington this evening contains a blistering attack on pro-LGBT Tories. She says the pride (progress) flag has been flown on govt buildings as if marking “occupied territory”, accusing Tory colleagues of supporting a “horrible political campaign” which supports the “mutilation of children” and leaves her “physically repulsed”.

I’m off to bed now after 36hrs of election mania. One of the highlights of those hours was chatting with LordKinnock in the BBC green room. Lovely man. @GrahamSmith_ Disagree. You want to be able to appoint ministers who are the most able to be good ministers. Many such people have no desire for a political/electoral life. If there is a fault, it’s that a minister must be either an MP or a peer.

Yes, but he could have had the decency to stand for election before taking a seat in parliament. We’ve seen how difficult it can be to win a seat, it’s the height of arrogance to say no, that’s not for me. I’ll just get my mate to give me a seat. Time to scrap the Lords.

In the UK, the farm labour is 10 times more expensive than Pakistan; the vet, the medicine, petrol, farm rent etc. are all much much expensive than Pakistan.
How come, the milk prices in the UK is 201 rupees per litre which is cheaper than Pakistan?
Why is that?

The reason the standard new state pension is only £1000 less than the personal tax allowance is because that has been frozen and the pension has risen. By 2028 it will be around the level of the new state pension. The Conservative ‘solution’ is to a problem it has created.
