Managing #irondeficiencyanaemia in people undergoing major surgery: PILLAR 1 treat the anaemia and stop aspirin or anticoagulants 5 days preop. PILLAR 2 use tranexamic acid, cell salvage, and point of care testing. PILLAR 3 restricted transfusion but think about an iron infusion
