How do you feel about lamb aka land salmon? With the price of beef escalating the way it is, this lady makes a really good pitch for sheep/lamb. Sheep can feed your family faster, easier and cheaper than any other livestock. They don't need expensive grain. They do just fine on grass and weeds. Lamb can be eaten at 6 months. Cows take 1.5 years. Twice the offspring as cows. Easier to manage. Source: bigskyranchess (IG)

I am a Democrat. I served in the Clinton administration. I did not vote for Donald Trump and am highly unlikely to support him or his acolytes in the future. I also have serious disagreements with many of the Trump administration’s domestic and foreign policies. But it is profoundly disturbing that a growing segment of the far left appears to be almost rooting for Hamas, Hezbollah, the Iranian regime, and other forces fundamentally opposed to the United States and our allies. This seems to reflects a corrosive strain of anti-Americanism, dressed up in postcolonial theory, that risks blinding us to the moral realities of our world and the nature of our adversaries.

@LepantoInst @SixPackJo Good grief, Lepanto. You're just like the National Enquirer. You do no good for the cause. Go look in a mirror sometime today. This has won you a No Longer Following by yours truly. Peace be with you.

@SixPackJo Agreed. We’re not taking a position on this because we don’t have enough facts, but the optics are terrible.

@EYakoby She had no business being on that commission. Why was she appointed when so many others are mature in the faith and equipped to challenge the status quo?

Fred Kummerow outlived Ancel Keys by two years (102). A critic of Ancel Keys, he liked to tell the story of the time he had dinner with Keys. Keys ordered a steak. Kummerow said “I thought you don’t eat saturated fat?” Keys reportedly said “Oh that’s not for me, that’s for the people.” A lifelong critic of partially hydrogenated oils, he single-handedly got them out of the US food supply in his late 90s by catching FDA on a legal technicality (they failed to respond to his question in six months) and threatened to sue them for it unless they opened the path to rejecting their GRAS status, which happened quickly. I rented a studio apartment in his basement during this time and had lunch with him every Saturday, so I heard the stories about what was happening in the courts on a regular basis. I never estimated his saturated fat intake but he ate eggs and full fat dairy but relatively small amounts of meat, though he still ate meat regularly. One of his quirkiest nutrition habits was to measure the minerals he lost in his urine and adjust his diet and supplements to replace them. Evidently Keys and his enemies are all capable of living long lives.

@EthanBenard We all hit plateaus, gain/lose, and take a break from tracking. This is how we learn what does and does not work. You are doing fine especially for long-term health.

@rboonie1961 @gemoscatelli @drjasonfung Maybe for that time period. We need to see 2022-2025 trends as far as the shot is concerned. Lots of cancer now; lots of people on leave from work. It's noticeable.

@gemoscatelli @drjasonfung Well the steepest incline was between 2020 and 2021. Since the first Covid shots were given in 2021 it would rule that out.

Rather concerning - an 11.1% increase in cancer deaths from 2019 to 2022. #all-charts" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">ourworldindata.org/grapher/cancer…

🚨 NIH just quietly gave $718,805 to induce heart failure in puppies... and then CUT OUT THEIR HEARTS while still alive. I am in shock. This is absolutely brutal. On February 23, shortly after @SecKennedy promised to end animal testing, @NIHDirector_Jay directed your taxpayer dollars to inhumanely k*ll hundreds of puppies at University of Utah. The grant was found and exposed by @WhiteCoatWaste, the same organization that partnered with Kennedy to expose the original Fauci experiments on beagles. Secretary Kennedy: MAHA was promised an END to Fauci-era cruelty. Please keep your word and END these programs once and for all! Tag @SecKennedy, tag @NIHDirector_Jay. Use AI. Use p*dophiles. LEAVE THE PUPPIES ALONE.

220lbs lost so far, and I’m still this fat. Think of this as a "Before vs During", not a "Before vs After." Read: Zooming out and looking all the way back on where I started from.... Helps SO MUCH. I have spent a LOT of time and effort trying improve my mind and my overall mental health recently. (Journaling, Therapy, Counseling, you name it.) Honestly, it is kind of frustrating to look back on how many times I've allowed my frustrations with small setbacks actually set me back FURTHR than they should have. This past few weeks for example, by not reacting in a crazy way to that bad weekend that I had, I actually conquered the urge to fast or jump to the extremes to get the scale back down. But in doing that, I showcased a much higher weigh-in, and then allowed the criticism from sharing that bring me down in a whole different way. I was very blessed to be able to speak with some friends at the expo last week, and they helped me realize that I need to focus more on how far l've come, and WHY I'm trying to reach the goals I've set for myself; instead of focusing on the small frustrations of the present, and allowing that to throw me off track the way I did. My friend said it in the most helpful way I've heard it; when we look back on this past month, it's just going to look like a blip. Since I'm able to get control of these frustrations and keep moving forward, a month from now, l'll be even lower than the new low that I set for myself in February. SO MUCH of this journey has been mental hurdles more than anything for me lately, and I'm incredibly grateful to have the people in my life that can really help pull me through times like this.

@DoctorTro I've got high cholesterol &a March 2023 CAC @ 460. I've been keto since Jan 2015. Dropped 70 lbs I've kept off. Stopped oxylates, added K2MK7 May 2023. I don't tolerate statins and I'm not getting the shots. Echocardiogram is clean. ETT has a small dip in recovery. PST next. 🤷‍♀️

Doctors say they avoid ordering a coronary artery calcium scan because “it won’t change management.” Think about what that means. A test that directly measures atherosclerotic plaque in the coronary arteries is dismissed because it might challenge a treatment algorithm based entirely on risk calculators and cholesterol numbers. The reality is simpler. Many physicians avoid CAC because it creates uncomfortable situations: A 45-year-old with high LDL but CAC = 0 A 60-year-old with “normal labs” but CAC = 400 Now the conversation becomes harder. Guidelines become less convenient. And the doctor actually has to explain risk. CAC doesn’t fit neatly into pharmaceutical pathways… but it tells you something far more important: Do you actually have plaque?

Gabor Maté's stark warning to new parents: "I would not let my kids near social media for many, many, many years." In this clip, the renowned physician and addiction expert says: - No screens except supervised Zoom with grandparents - Devices are designed to be addictive - Brain scans of 3–4-year-olds with heavy screen time show visible brain damage - Parents staring at phones send the clearest message: "This thing is more important than you are" Maté: "I would not let them near it... It has nothing to do with digital media on my kids." Clip from this 48-second gut-punch — a no-compromise take on screens and childhood. As a parent (or future parent), does this hit home? Zero screens until school age? Strict supervision only? Or do you think the damage claims are overblown? Your thoughts — drop them below.
