It concerns me that members who identify strongly with the far right or far left are the most likely to disengage from the Church.
Politics can crowd out faith.

You realize the graphic in the video contradicts what you're saying? Being Very liberal corresponds with distancing from the faith. Far right corresponds with more faith. In each level of faith retention displayed, political moderation boasts a supermajority compared to political radicalism in all but the very last category and only because the liberal side becomes so dominant.

Do most LDS apostle's really take a "pay cut"?
Not as much as you might think.
Many of them get called close to retirement.
They go from being close to losing their main income, to being guaranteed an income for life (along with many other benefits).
That's not nothing.
