@DanHarmone Let’s use our brains shall we, the only reason korra struggled in any way with Amon is her not having access to the AS. Unalaq only becomes the dark avatar because korras a dumfuck but also because mako and bolin are bums, zaheer also gets shitstomped by tenzin pre flight lmao

Korra is such insanely stronger coz her villains aren’t just strong, they’re specialized counters to the Avatar itself. Amon can remove bending, Unalaq becomes a Dark Avatar, Zaheer weaponizes airbending, and Kuvira brings modern warfare. Meanwhile Aang’s final boss is just a very strong firebender with a temporary amp. No matter what nostalgia merchants say, its not debate Aang will severely struggle worse in TLOK world and env.

@DanHarmone Book 1, korra only struggled with Amon because she didn’t have access to the avatar state which Aang does, Book 2, he’s a fking air nomad, and let’s be honest korra would’ve won if her team wasn’t buns Book 3. The same way tenzin was man handling zaheer aang would shitstomp.

People don't realize how bad korra villains are as match ups for aang lmaoo Book 1- with Amon Aang would struggle hard, his whole style depends on bending. Book 2- spiritual conflict + aggression combined is not Aang’s comfort zone at all. Book 3- Zaheer's Airbending with lethal intent… that’s probably Aang’s worst matchup mentally. Book 4- Political + military control is not something Aang solves with just bending. Korra is already comfortable with confrontation and large-scale fights, Ozai get low diff without the pacifist monologue. Also she is full trained in all elements early, so she’s not spending half the journey learning basics while the war continues.

this is where I see the mary sue complaint now whole season she was getting washed but suddenly she can airbend after having her bending taken away and can negate Amon's bloodbending with no waterbending but Aang couldnt negate Yakone, who was significantly weaker than Amon
