i DO NOT fuck with lions mane. potential side effects: - complete loss of libido (sex drive) - erectile dysfunction - genital numbness - severe depression and anhedonia - rain fog and derealization why? it's a POTENT hormonal disruptor (anti-androgen) - it seems to drastically lower DHT and: - NGF deregulation - kappa opioid receptor agonism - immune system over activation - heavy metals are rampant there's a community of 25,000 people (a lot of crazies in there as well) that neurotically struggle with after-effects for YEARS. even with the amount of retards on the internet, this is an outlier and an interesting case. don't use lions mane.

every fungal except for white button mushrooms is 5ar inhibitory people tend to think since herbals are natural, they will be immensely beneficial, even when non-psychoactive. more often than not, they lead to more issues long term than most synthetics, but most not ready for that discussion Lion's mane like most herbals does have a HUGE catalogue of benefits, if you use it intelligently most don't cycle herbals either and see how they respond to it, just got nuked by some Ecommerce brand running Meta ads with an Einstein picture in the video

@BasedBiohacker Complete gibberish. Possibly toxins are a concern if you buy the cheapest China option but American lions mane fruiting body is a top tier addition to the diet. Amazing anti inflammatory, stimulates nerve sheath healing, and boosts immune system.

You should look into PSSD and PFS. Finasteride (obviously) and SSRIs (shockingly) have an overlapping 5ari mechanism of action, that seemingly causes the same symptom profile. You should also check out bio hacker/bodybuilder Ryan Russo’s story with Lion’s Mane. He has this syndrome as well and it took a kamikaze, HDAC-laden protocol to get him out of it.

I take lions main daily.. cycle it on for a few weeks morning and night, then off for a few days. I notice a drastic difference when I take it.. from my dreams to cognitive function and focus throughout the day. I never noticed or was able to research any negative side effects in normal dosing. You should try it.. i think you`re putting out bs.

@BasedBiohacker Wtf are you talking about. I've used high quality lions mane for years, and only benefits. The only problem I've seen is you can get to a too "stimmed up" feeling if you take too much. This is some big pharma bullshit right here.

@BasedBiohacker Basically it can cause an adjacent syndrome to post SSRI sexual dysfunction & post finasteride syndrome

@BasedBiohacker It basically induced PSSD, which is more commonly known to be a condition that occurs when people take SSRI/SNRI. However not limited to as we see people getting it from TA’s and other Psyche meds, as well as finasteride and Accutane

I had severe hallucinations when inadvertently combined lions mane supplement, regular dose, with 3 deciliters of whisky, and on another occasion, marijuana. alcohol + lions mane gave me haunting visions while lying in bed, I was in a different place, red sky, burial ceremony, etc. lots of different places. alcohol + THC kept seeing shadows around my (parked) car, and when i looked in the mirror to the backseat I saw a man with a white mask. I don't suffer some hallucinations or schizophrenia. It wasn't a trigger. Don't fuck with lions mane since.

@BasedBiohacker Anyone in the group capable of discerning the difference in the many different deliveries of this mushroom? Or is everyone pretending that the fungi made by God is the same as a gummy or pill made by man?

I've been taking it for years. Pay a lot for the high quality US stuff though. No side effects at all. Had an EMG recently (due to suspected allodynia as a side effect from an injury) and the neurologist commented on how good my nerve function is for my age. Still trying to get an MRI, my PCP is not too bright. Told her chest and hip were injured, she says tendonitis and fibromyalgia. Went around her to ortho without a referral and got the hip MRI, torn labrum. Working on finding a way to get the chest MRI. Its deep, not pec.
