@CodeRed_dev Godot is a cult. I hear about people being banned from their discord server for having non-conforming pronouns in their bio all the time. And the icing on top is that these people didn't even say anything in the server. The mods go out of their way to find trouble.

@CodeRed_dev I feel Godot has an easier entry into making games, but you need Unity/UE if you want to work in bigger gaming companies. For one, Unity works better for mobiles, especially, with ads and iaps.

@CodeRed_dev The reason I'm going to end up needing to learn Godot is because it runs on a toaster. And when my computer inevitably craps out I won't be able to afford replacement parts so I will be coding on an ancient laptop.

@CodeRed_dev Same, I tried Godot following a tutorial for the basics. After using Unity for 15 years I am going to say w/ godot the UI system, scene management is too convoluted for me I did not like the module system. I found myself doing more work to remember how my game was hooked up

@CodeRed_dev I actually heavily considered Gadot when I started, I love the idea of it, but I knew I wanted to make at least 3 different 3d actionish / survival horror / ResidentHillLikes with a low poly vibe and Unity just has the best ecosystem and history for that right now
