The catcher is Patrick Bailey and these were all called strikes.

@CodifyBaseball Shame on anyone who believes the little box is a true measure of a ball/strike.

@CodifyBaseball I'll be watching this guy this season. That framing is elite.🥶

@CodifyBaseball Don’t show this to Jeff Frye, he’ll leave a flaming bag of dog poop on your doorstep.

@CodifyBaseball Framing the (pitch) frame. Catchers have been doing this for a looooong time. But now the umps don’t tell them to stop. Back in the day; the Umpire would be all over you to stop framing that pitch or you will not get a corner the rest of the game. #mlb

@CodifyBaseball 100% not helping with the arguments against automated balls/strikes. 😁

@CodifyBaseball Will forever boggle my mind how framing impacts calls considering umps are supposed to call ball/strike based on where the ball crosses the *front* of the plate….not 6’ behind it where it’s caught

@CodifyBaseball Is there a stat that counts how many times the pitcher hits the target exactly?

@CodifyBaseball I think it's more bad umpiring than good framing. Looks like a LL kid moving his mitt everywhere.

@CodifyBaseball If you are going to frame like that it’s going to be a ball every time if I’m behind the plate.
