@wesleytypes @dragonage The thing that gets me sad is that we didn't see Kieran. I don't mind Morrigan being a bit different but the lack of imported choices does suck.
English

@Knight10293847 @dragonage Yeah they dropped so many important sub plots. @nuhre_ had a great series of posts about it.
English

@wesleytypes @dragonage @nuhre_ I disliked those posts because they felt like they came from a negative place then a positive one.
English

@Knight10293847 @dragonage @nuhre_ I think she just really loves the series as we first experienced it with all the promises and setup that we had.
English

@Knight10293847 @wesleytypes @dragonage @nuhre_ Yep. She's not remotely nuanced in any of her critique. She says the devs suck, the writers can't write but never mentions the development hell, the 2 reboots, the switch from live-service and leadership churn.
English

@CorbynRed @Knight10293847 @wesleytypes @dragonage @nuhre_ I think most people are just tired of hearing about development hell, and putting all the blame on EA, while not taking any accountability for the mistakes are questionable development decisions that Bioware made.
English

@SmeagolGamer @Knight10293847 @wesleytypes @dragonage @nuhre_ Except most of the issues were on EA. That doesn't mean BioWare were completely blameless, though.
English

@CorbynRed @Knight10293847 @wesleytypes @dragonage @nuhre_ Even though that's true, people just get tired of hearing it. In general it's just too easy to point the finger at someone else. If Bioware publicly took more accountability, they'd have more respect from gamers and fans of their games.
English

@SmeagolGamer @Knight10293847 @wesleytypes @dragonage @nuhre_ What do they need to take accountability for?
English

@CorbynRed @Knight10293847 @wesleytypes @dragonage @nuhre_ Any specific reason would be different for any fan of Bioware fans. I general it would be a better pr move. Like CD Projekt Red taking accountability for tha launch of Cyberpunk 2077, as apposed to blaming the state of the launch on investors.
English

@SmeagolGamer @Knight10293847 @wesleytypes @dragonage @nuhre_ So they don't need to be take any accountability.
English

@CorbynRed @Knight10293847 @wesleytypes @dragonage @nuhre_ Yes they do, it just maybe different for someone else, but here are some examples. They can take accountability for not questioning EA and setting reasonable timelines for making an rpg (so accoutability for lack of strong leadership).
English

@CorbynRed @Knight10293847 @wesleytypes @dragonage @nuhre_ It seems that most likely they didn't or didn't enough, because Bioware seemed to develop this ego that they could do no wrong. It was one of Ray or Greg, that thought the Old Republic would be the WOW killer and that it would make enough money that they could buy EA.
English

@CorbynRed @Knight10293847 @wesleytypes @dragonage @nuhre_ You also don't know whether they did or either. I can make an educated guess that they didn't, since in any interview that Greg and Ray has done, said they had a great working relation with EA. So most likely they didn't get combative with EA when it came for release timelines.
