Gavrikov-Schneider logged the 2nd most amount of minutes out of any pair this past season for the Rangers and these were the numbers The eye test clearly showed it too that Gavrikov was left for dead out there constantly when he played with Schneider I can’t believe we have people defending number 4 in 2026

@CorePython If Noah Laba was suddenly thrust into a role where he was playing shutdown minutes against Jack Hughes he'd put up pitiful numbers. What does that tell us about his abilities on Line 3? What this tells us is that Schneider is not a first pairing defenseman. That's really it.

@CorePython There is a saying don't judge Defenseman on bad teams. And this team is awful. Not defending number 4 at all. Also not blaming him for team being a shit hole.

@CorePython @MMlynarkiewicz Gavrikov was ass away from Fox as well. He just had an outlier in the goal department this year. If he didn’t have that then it would be very bleak.

@CorePython The truth lies somewhere in between. Schneider is a stay at home defenseman, as is Gav. The 2 styles don’t complement each other, so they get stuck in their zone and can’t generate offense. But even with K’Andre, he hasn’t been good or taken that next step.

@CorePython THREE DIFFERENT COACHES HAVE THOUGHT HE'S BEST SUITED AS A 3RD D PAIR!!!! He's played 368 gms + 43 playoff gms. At some point after that many games, the "give him a chance and be patient approach" that gets heard from some rangers fans will start to fall on deaf ears by others.
