@DevInTheLab When hoops became unethical there needed to be a line drawn
English

This company just took news headlines by storm - Jacob Amsterdam just joined its Advisory Board.
WHY?
Copper recently traded above $14,000 per ton, near historic highs, as demand from AI infrastructure continues accelerating.
Just one electric vehicle can use more than 80 kilograms of copper.
Some estimates suggest a single large-scale AI data center can require up to 50,000 tons of copper across power systems, transformers, cooling infrastructure, wiring, and grid connections.
AI data centers, robots, military systems, renewable energy, and EV production are all increasing global copper demand at the same time.
Entire countries are upgrading electrical infrastructure simultaneously.
And while demand rises, new copper mines can take more than a decade to develop.
That is where NovaRed Mining enters the story.
Its Wilmac Copper-Gold Project spans nearly three times the size of Manhattan across prospective copper-gold terrain in British Columbia.
As the global race for copper intensifies, companies connected to future copper supply are attracting increasing investor attention.
Always do your own research. This is not financial advice.

@DevInTheLab It’s kinda long but in a short sense
SGA is the unethical king
Kyrie is mr ethical.
Think of their play styles hopefully it gives you a barometer
English

@DevInTheLab It’s some people who never hooped made it up. Unethical hoops is when you hurt people.. not when you smartly draw fouls based on how the refs consistently call the game
English

@DevInTheLab It's a made up concept by young fans who don't realize all the stars from previous eras (MJ, Kobe, Wilt, Shaq, Barkley, Malone, Robinson) got even more foul calls than SGA does.
English

@DevInTheLab I think I heard it first from Jarrett Allen like two years ago in an interview.
English

@DevInTheLab While we're on the subject, ponder this, the NBA is objectively unethical. They are a business entity in the USoA. How is one supposed to play ethical hoops and expect to win? Even get paid? Every player cheats in their own way, they have to
English

@DevInTheLab i think it started with embiid id say someone like kawhi would probably be the most ethical hooper
English

@DevInTheLab All I ever knew was you got people who are basketball players and then you got hoopers.
Ethical/Unethical, never heard of it lol
English

@DevInTheLab Ignoring your questions lol I feel like ethical hoops got taken over like the concept of "woke" did. It really meant something for like 6 months but now it's just an excuse to be a hater on both sides
English

@DevInTheLab Throwing yourself down to take advantage of the limits of the human eye is unethical. Now, if we accept it as a norm of professional basketball standards of behavior we have a bigger problem.

English

@DevInTheLab Flopping has gotten more prevalent in the past 10 years but the term started with harden.
I think it's defined as making a move with zero intent of actually getting a good shot up and 100% intent of tricking the ref into blowing the whistle
English

@DevInTheLab It's meant to be a way to insult egregiously floppers. It came into prominence when OKC did. Flopping has always been apart of the game, but juxtapose how they flop in light breeze vs how they defend with their fists, it's placed a larger spotlight on the flopping. I think? 🤷
English

@DevInTheLab this term wasn’t around during hardens prime tho, ya just dick riding sga
English

@DevInTheLab Squares and suburban niggas. Efficient player wasnt enough I guess. Even the term ethical player means more of a dedicated 2 way player to me personally. Its all made up and agreed upon by squares and suburban niggas
English

@DevInTheLab It’s a made up term to explain why one player is performing better than another player when player B is regarded as better than player A
English

@DevInTheLab For me, ethical hoops is basketball that doesn’t see flopping / foul-baiting as the foundation for a team’s plays.
English

@DevInTheLab Someone on Raptors Twitter called was describing how Pascal Siakam got buckets and said it was ethical hoops (no foul baiting, etc). Took off on Raptors Twitter from there then spread to general NBA Twitter a few months after that
English

@DevInTheLab Harden was the original pioneer of unethical hoops… then Embiid grabbed the baton.
English

@DevInTheLab It's been around since Prime Harden (Rockets) years even without the name. But it's for people who are true bucket getters as in they don't constantly flop/foul bait to get their points. Perfect examples of this are Kyrie and DeRozan.
English

@DevInTheLab It’s nothing new cp3, harden, dwade, bron, jimmy butler all some weak ass foul baiters.
English

@DevInTheLab I kind of see it more as playing in good faith. The two main examples is Prime Hardens foul baiting/flopping and the way teams guard steph (and soon wemby) off ball. Making a main game plan of taking advantage of refs because they're humans loses the spirit of the sport imo.
English

@DevInTheLab When a player flops and acts injured just for the replay to show they were never touched in that spot
Should be a delay of game and auto ejection
English

@DevInTheLab It derived from ignorance, hating and low basketball IQ. It’s intellectualizing a bs basketball twitter take.
English

@DevInTheLab It's cope for fans get triggered when their team can't stop something.
English

@DevInTheLab It’s just people complaining about players being able to draw contact. Heard it a lot during Embiids peak as well as Harden.
English

@DevInTheLab Pretty much getting buckets via skill or strength rather than finding way to bend the rules to get buckets instead. So Kyrie/KD/Steph since they don’t rely on FT as much
English

@DevInTheLab Ethical hoops = whatever the team you like does
Unethical hoops = how other teams play when they beat you
English

@DevInTheLab I don’t remember why it started but it basically means “my favorite player isn’t that good so instead of just accepting him for who he is I will accuse anyone better than him of not playing the game right. If my favorite played dirty like them he would be the GOAT”
English

@DevInTheLab It’s been out there but now it’s has to be mentioned more with the emergence of unethical hoops at an all time high! 😂
English

@DevInTheLab I can't speak to the former. But regarding the latter, simple... his name is Michael Jeffrey Jordan.
English

@DevInTheLab I came up with it. This question comes up a lot. The rationale and history is nuanced. I’ll be hopping on a podcast soon to explain soon
