In 2021, prior to Mayfield's shoulder injury, he was 40-49 for 534 yards, took 4 sacks, and the #Browns put up 60 points. In 2020, he was 305-486 (62.76%) for 3563 yards and a 26-8 TD/INT ratio. I refuse to believe what we saw the remaining 15 games was what Mayfield really is.

@SamIngro @Tom_RedRight88 His season turned more after the Arizona game after Watt sacked him and his shoulder came out again. That was the point they should of shut down for the year. He was good against the Chargers the week before. Definitely sucked against the Vikings but I agree with you.

@SamIngro I felt the same way for long time, however him throwing to the wrong guy has nothing to do with shoulder. He hasn’t progressed mentally. The best qbs win with their brains. They know who to throw to. He has not done that at all.

@SamIngro Watch @jake_burns18’s play by play review of the Browns O on OBR - the injury doesn’t explain BM staring at wide open WRs again & again and not making those throws - BM caused a majority of the sacks in the last gm not Hudson

@SamIngro Every discussion on Baker has to start there: He was really good literally right up to the injury, across two seasons.

@SamIngro Can someone explain to me how the game against Cincy happened then? How do you go from being injury-bad to injury-good and then bad-bad?

@SamIngro @therealpool The first two games were against two of the worst defenses in the NFL. His 2020 numbers were good not great and his best games came against bad teams.

@SamIngro Agreed. And despite it all, I think we’d still be in the playoff hunt if a 10 day isolation hadn’t been imposed on the team for Covid. Once the. NFL imposed a 10 day rule for one team, it absolutely should have stayed the rule for all teams this season.

@SamIngro Washington said the same think about RG3, Philly said the same thing about Wentz, Tennessee said the same thing about Mariotta, Rams said same thing about Goff, after leading them to a SuperBowl Baker isn't the first top QB drafted to experience early success then fall from grace

@SamIngro Injuries don’t have 1 thing to do with not seeing the field. Not 1 thing to do with missing open receivers.

@SamIngro You can refuse all you want because you don’t wanna admit he’s likely not the guy. You are probably the same guy who said he would not be playing this season if he thought he was hurting the team

@SamIngro @therealpool Im with you on this ,it makes zero sense how he finished last year to now .Its pretty obvious this injury impacts his footwork and mechanics. Stefanski and company should of shut this down long ago.

@SamIngro The injury is having a much greater impact than anyone is admitting. The other significant factor are Conklin injuries. Baker does not play well when he does not trust as offensive line and he has not trusted Blake Hance or James Hudson at tackle

@SamIngro Keep in mind Baker's injury is his own fault. He never ever ever should have tried to be the guy to make the tackle after his INT. He didn't realize his importance to his team and let his emotions at the moment get the best of him.

@SamIngro I agree with this and realize others won't. I also realize if you think you can get better at the QB position that they should do it, just like every other position on the field. I'm just not sure they can.
