@TechOperator Those sexy gold cars with Lambo doors might encourage more people to try it. 🫡

I like car. I like driving cars. Tesla Self Driving will convince politicians that I should be banned from enjoying driving a classic car from the 60’s. I thought you people believe in freedom. What about my freedom to not be driven by a computer? Plus, you do realise that Full Self Driving and Driverless cars are pushed by tech companies for a reason right? It’s because you’ll be spending more time on your phone shopping and using the internet. So they make more money! Because when are you not on your phone? When you’re driving! So no thanks, I believe that driving is one of the most wonderful experiences that you can partake in. When you’re cannon carving and feeling the car at its limits. You people just want to take that away from us. The only benefit to autonomous driving is for the elderly.

@TechOperator My father-in-law has tried FSD v14, understands the value, recognizes the innovation, and still does not really care that much. I think he represents the vast majority. The Teslasphere is convinced that FSD is a major selling point, but the rest of the world disagrees.

@TechOperator Yup. I see (in some fashion) every crash report my department files and... everyone thinks they're a great driver until they're not. And even if they are that damn good (and, they're not, but, Devil's Advocate) they are still on the road with the bad drivers so...

@TechOperator People need to start understanding what TERRIBLE marketing it is, to say that your favorite thing about a car, is to not drive it.

@TechOperator Try to tell people what they enjoy or don’t enjoy will never sell anyone. You can’t even get Tesla owners to use it. Less than 15% of Tesla owners use FSD

@TechOperator Get the major insurers on board. Though even if you enjoy driving, nobody likes driving in traffic. Its where FSD truly shines.

@TechOperator Safety is not a selling point for FSD. The ability to drive more is.

@TechOperator Worries me though in 14.3.2 so many disengagements (Tesla guy Lincoln posted here today a video showing it driving through a red light before he took over). I wish I could go back to 14.2.2.5
