@Watchmakermaker Everyone I know in Europe who complains about the heat 100000% can afford a mini split or portable unit at minimum. They're just cranky they have to get one.

@Watchmakermaker 1 3 and 4 (but thats because babies are fucking expensive and its between buying her formula, nappies ect or buying an ac that will have to be on for the entire week AND buying her stuff but having no money for my own food) And for a 5th, the medications im on 🫠

@Watchmakermaker @trumwill Europe is too general. Greece has near universal AC, more so than NY despite being quite a bit poorer than anywhere in the US and buildings not built to retain heat

@Watchmakermaker @mrs_alyse 4 is because 1. Not cost effective. 3 doesn't work unless the system is flawless, which it isn't. In winter, we're adding heat internally that we want to leave as slowly as possible. In summer, that heat still gets through slowly (plus electronics), then leaves just as slowly.
