On the conclusion of my final assessment today I got certified to drive the 701 which as a trained Fratton driver I never thought I would say 😁 Fantastic traction & really lovely to drive.

@Domjb03 You suggested the Glasgow Subway wasn’t “modernised” and “cared for”, which would mean old trains, old technology, and old infrastructure, with no plan for the future, all of which isn’t the case.

Insightful thread which we encourage everyone to read. The Arterios have great potential, and SWR must address these issues so passengers get the service they deserve. They *should* all finally be in service by the "end of the summer." @ArterioUpdates @SW_Help

@ArterioUpdates What about the barrage of automated announcements? Incessant station, see it say it and fare evasion messages, yet zero actual useful real messages from a human when the service is delayed/cancelled,which is more frequent since nationalisation

@swtrains_watch @SW_Help Thank you for promoting the thread. Just to clarify, the 10 car variant of the Arterio is expected to finish entering service during the summer, however the 5 car variant will be entering service at the end of the summer, and then should all be in by the end of the year.
