It is a little suspect that Trump will write a block of text as the official announcement of the operation's success lol. At the same time spoiling the US's search and rescue operation would be a big morale boost for the Iranians, why wouldn't they release more footage, confirm bodies?

@cirnosad Iranian affiliated social media released F15 "wreckage",1-2 hours after seeing it the US responded to that and sent rescue teams who then got shot down, resulting in further rescue teams going in to rescue the rescuers. All it's done is expose operational planning. LOL.

Our downed pilot is still out there. Thinking of that today a great deal. Went to the range, took a walk, lots of chores, adult kids are all home visiting, so a good day in Virginia, I have no complaints....but I can't get this pilot out of my head....and thankful and grateful to the enormous military and IC CSAR enterprise that is working to effect the return. 🇺🇸

To me, it feels that the trail has gone cold. As far as I know there has been no confirmation that the co-pilot weapons officer has been captured either. There isn't footage of low alt search flyovers either today. I think he might just be dead. Failed to eject or landed wrong.

Ok so really what the hell is going on with our 2nd airman who nobody is talking about for some reason...neither side Our first SAR mission got one of our guys, and they had to retreat under fire, same time an A-10 got shot down in support.... Now the IRGC have smothered the area.... so what is the plan for today? or....has our guy already been caught, Trump admin is told by Iran, and now they are bunkering down with no clue what to do?

If Iran captures American military personel they are Prisoners of War and Iran is legally entitled to keep them under the Geneva Conventions until such a time as the USA makes a deal for their safe return. They are not 'hostages'.

Rescue operations for the downed F-15 pilot are continuing more American airforce recovery aircraft are being deployed from Europe as the search expands.

The American Pilot of an F-15E Strike Eagle that was rescued after his plane was downed over Southern Iran earlier today, was recovered by two U.S. military helicopters. During the operation, the helicopter carrying the recovered pilot was hit by small arms fire, wounding crewmembers onboard the helicopter. The helicopter landed safely. All servicemembers are receiving initial medical treatment and will be transported for further medical care, two U.S. officials told CBS News.
