The IDF has built a string of bases in Palestinian Rafah along Egypt’s border. The imagery shows at least five Israeli sites, including two with Merkava Mk4 tanks & M109 howitzers, a serious provocation under the peace treaty’s security annex, which bars heavy weapons in Zone C.

Yeah this needs a firm response beyond military exercises & reciprocal increase of military presence in Sinai. Those 2 things are good but too timid. A lot of people’s misunderstanding of drone warfare is based on the fact that in Ukraine, neither side has air superiority. If you do, the best anti-drone weapon is to just drop a bomb on the operators, like Israel does in South Lebanon

When I was in basic training, one of the guys decided he had had enough. He laid out all of his equipment on his bunk in the middle of the night and walked off. The drill sergeants didn’t even seem that made since he left all of his stuff nice and laid out, preventing them from having to track it all down. I wonder what ever happened to that guy.

I did a six-month stint in the Florida National Guard as a Supply Sergeant. They told me that the guy I replaced showed up to the first day of a weekend drill but never came back. Either the unit (or members of the unit who were mostly in law enforcement and prison corrections) eventually got a blotter report from a police agency in Jacksonville. The guy was known to rent a room and hire local female entertainment when away from home. Well, apparently, he was a little freaky and let the hooker tie him up. Then, she got up, went over and unlocked the door. In came a guy in a Batman costume who sodomized him. Mystery solved on why he never reported back to the unit.
