Yesterday, I welcomed Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto to the Pentagon. We reaffirmed the strength of the bilateral defense relationship between the United States and Italy and agreed on the urgent need for NATO allies to increase defense spending, expand defense industrial production, and field combat-credible military forces.

Very emotional moment from the interview with Zelenskyy. You should watch this. JOURNALIST: Do you miss being an actor? ZELENSKYY:?I miss being a good father. JOURNALIST: When your children were little, what did you tell them the most? What was the thing that you told them the most when they were small? ZELENSKYY: I love you. JOURNALIST: And what do you tell them now that they're older? ZELENSKYY: Oh, I miss you. JOURNALIST: When was the last time you cried? ZELENSKYY: I will try to do it after our interview. No, I mean this, between us. I'm a normal man and then there are a lot of different moments, between us, almost each day, a lot of losses on the battlefield and civilians, and there are absolutely crazy attacks on our people. And I'm just, it's… I mean, It's very difficult really, when I give orders (medals). I said about it. It's always difficult for me when I give orders (medals) to the mothers and fathers, who lost their children. In such moments, really, I often cry. JOURNALIST: Are you a hero? ZELENSKYY: No. JOURNALIST: So who is your hero? ZELENSKYY:?My hero? My children, my army, our army, and Ukrainian people. So I'm a part… I'm also a Ukrainian, so I'm a part of our nation. But now our nation, I think, that our nation is absolutely heroic.

BOCHKOV: BREAKING NEWS — G7 SUMMIT. TRUMP: THE LONELINESS OF A SCOUNDREL. At the G7 summit, Trump has just stated that the war in Ukraine “has no impact whatsoever on the United States.” A short phrase. Almost casual. As if he were talking about a leaking roof at a neighbor’s house across the street. And that is the essence of the political magician’s art: turning a raging fire into a harmless candle. For five years, Europe has been witnessing its largest war since Hitler. Millions of refugees. Hundreds of thousands killed and wounded. Cities reduced to rubble. A reshaping of the global security order. Surging prices for energy, grain, and transportation. Military budgets being rewritten from Warsaw to Tokyo. Yet, according to Trump, none of this affects America. Strange. Because at the very same summit, G7 leaders were trying to bring Ukraine back to the center of U.S. attention, fearing that Washington might ultimately lose interest in the war Russia launched against its neighbor. It seems Trump views the world like a casino owner. If the fire is not in his establishment, it is someone else’s problem. The important thing is that the roulette wheel keeps spinning and the cash register stays full. Today he celebrates his diplomatic agreement with Iran and promises a new era of stability. Tomorrow he promises to end the war in Ukraine. The day after tomorrow—something else. His promises are produced faster than cars on a Ford assembly line. But history has little patience for accountants who calculate only their own profit. When European politicians in 1938 convinced themselves that the takeover of Czechoslovakia was none of their concern, they also spoke about peace and pragmatism. A year later, World War II began. Every major war affects everyone. Especially America. Especially today. You can close your eyes. You can look away. You can declare that the fire does not matter. But the smoke will still find its way into the house. And then it becomes clear that geography does not override history.

Marco Rubio and Pete Hegseth reportedly tried until the very last moment to keep Trump from making what they considered a “questionable” deal with Iran. MSN reports intense behind-the-scenes pressure on key figures within Donald Trump’s team. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth were allegedly given an ultimatum: either stop publicly criticizing a nuclear agreement with Iran or face immediate dismissal. To understand the context, Rubio and Hegseth have long been considered strong supporters of Israel and have consistently taken a hard-line stance toward Tehran. According to this account, they remain among the leading voices within the American establishment seeking to prevent a deal with what they view as an unpredictable regime. There is hope among their supporters that Rubio and Hegseth will stand firm, remain in their positions, and continue to influence global geopolitics. Without such figures, the argument goes, Washington risks making critical mistakes with consequences that could extend far beyond the United States. We will be watching closely.

Canada is the first non-European nation to join SAFE — the EU’s joint defence readiness initiative — and we’re already seeing results. Because we joined, Montréal-based Marconi Technologies will build made-in-Canada tactical radios for the Polish Cyber Command. This contract is worth more than $10 million and will benefit nearly 100 Canadian suppliers, their workers, and their families.

This is insane. We are in the middle of an active Ebola outbreak, and RFK Jr. has made almost no public comment on it and has received very few briefings from CDC scientists. If he has no interest in the health of the American people, he has no business running the agency responsible for the health of 340 million of them! It’s that simple. nytimes.com/2026/06/07/us/…

Russia’s latest attacks on Ukraine show once again that pressure must be increased, not eased. Today the EU took another step with new sanctions, but we must move swiftly with a strong 21st sanctions package. Our ambition should include a full ban on maritime services for vessels transporting Russian oil and petroleum products, as well as a ban on alumina exports to Russia. The Kremlin must be denied the resources it needs to continue its war against Ukraine. vm.ee/en/news/tsahkn…

Russia's defense industry depends on aluminum. Aluminum depends on alumina. Estonia has proposed an EU ban on alumina exports to Russia. If we are serious about raising the cost of aggression, we must close this loophole. My op-ed @ERRNews. news.err.ee/1610053456/mar…

We have a President who has enriched himself and his family by at least $3.4 billion since taking office. A President who is trading thousands of stocks in companies that benefit from his own policies. A President who is selling pardons to donors and weaponizing the Justice Department against his enemies.

The American people are paying for all of it.

That is why @RepAOC, @RepJasonCrow, and I launched the End Corruption Caucus. This level of corruption has consequences, and we are going to make sure Trump faces them.
