@SamCorrell2 @Dan_Feder88 @dyerjonathan With you there @SamCorrell2 - running short on space in the house for our offices and trying to find a workable solution (& builders). We may have to migrate to the shed too - great idea.

@Cropdr @dyerjonathan First think about yourself as an employee - what would your expectations be working in that space. Tea room with a/c, bathroom, hot water, chemical shower etc - if you don’t have already. Those basic things that meet work-safe standards & insulation in roof a must!

@Cropdr If you're a grazing business, a double garage to fit side by side in, some room for temporary electric fencing equipment and a fridge for vaccine shouldn't need much else...Perhaps smoko room??

@mjgoodenco Ideally yes, but also storage/service area for tractor, disc seeder, spray rig, SbS & bikes + fencing gear, welder & tools etc, poly fittings, all the animal health gear (tags, branding / marking forge, scales), sheep jetter (b/c sensors), agChem/drench/fly+lice chem bunded area.

@Cropdr I want three 8 m bays. First two 16m spans with sliding doors either end that concertina over the last 8m bay which is where all the storage and tools are. And in a perfect world a multi axis gantry crane but I’ll have to face facts that’s overkill

@Cropdr Definitely put a concrete apron at least 3-4metres accross the front/access part of the shed. Insulate it fully, hi bay led lighting and electric industrial doors with remotes. Money well spent Claire.

Is it normal for a journal editor to request that a research student remove themselves as corresponding author and nominate a more senior scholar? Is it also normal, when the student says no, that the editor asks them to justify authorship based on contributions to the paper? 😡
