Wine 11 rewrites how Linux runs Windows games at the kernel level, and the speed gains are massive.
NTSYNC support uses a new Linux kernel module to handle Windows-style thread synchronization directly at the kernel level.
Notable benchmark gains (compared to basic upstream Wine without prior optimizations):
- Dirt 3: around 110 FPS to over 860 FPS
- Tiny Tina's Wonderlands: 130 FPS to 360 FPS
- Resident Evil 2: 26 FPS to 77 FPS
- Call of Juarez: around 100 FPS to 224 FPS

@paulb3rd This is easy, watch the many developer interviews, look at the game genre tags. They said it's not an RPG so many times.
Read the IGN review, among others. If you cannot see the disconnect you're either in that field, friends with someone in that field, or completely dishonest.

From startup to shutdown, loading Windows 3.1, MS Word, and MS Excel, on a computer several orders of magnitude slower and with 1000x less RAM than a modern PC.

This patch includes some of the improvements and fixes we were able to prepare first, including changes based on your feedback, like the addition of a Storage at Howling Hill and the beginning of improvements to keyboard and mouse controls. Well, no more X app on mobile. It no longer will let me login from a @GrapheneOS device due to the attestation nonsense.
