Utah State wins the Mountain West Regular Season Title OUTRIGHT with that 94-90 win over New Mexico. The Aggies finish the regular season at 25-6, 15-5, and will hold the #1 seed in the Mountain West tournament next weekend. IT'S TIME TO PARTY!

Utah State beats New Mexico 94-90 after a late NM surge and clinches the Mountain West regular season title for the 2nd time in 3 years. Aggies also clinch the 1-seed. SDSU finishes 2nd and will face the winner of CSU/Fresno St on Thursday.

Can't find a scenario where Utah State falls lower than the 2 seed in the MWC tournament. However, if Colorado State beats New Mexico and New Mexico then beats USU on Saturday, this bracket would be, uh, less than ideal.

This is the second year in a row that the Aggies have faltered somewhat down the stretch. Last year some injuries had something to do with it. What is the cause this year?

It feels like we're headed toward an uncomfortable conversation about trading that mid-month bye week for the Memphis game. There was no way to know that Memphis would be such a low-value win, but Utah State looks gassed, and that part was absolutely predictable
