Why are women so repulsed by the idea of a man they know and trust falling in love with them? The dude knows you and decided none of your flaws are deal breakers, and now he wants to spend his life with you. Why is that a bad thing? How is that, in any sense, a betrayal?

I can't believe this has to be explained but here we are... For a lot of women, and I mean a LOT of us, it's humiliating to find out that the guy friend that you felt comfortable with, could be yourself with, and was someone you thought you knew - never saw you the way you saw him. Now that's not to say there aren't genuine friendships that develop into something more MUTUALLY... but the reason it's such a stigma is BECAUSE of the number of men who purposely... PURPOSELY get close to a girl on the HOPES of finally being able to slide into her pants. So no, there was no genuine desire to be friends, to just have a non-sexual relationship with her beyond the scope of "if I put enough time and energy into this, she will eventually fall in love with me" and that's not just deceptive it's fucking gross.
