🛳️ PHOTO OF THE DAY: 134m Lürssen superyacht Deep Blue in Gibraltar
The newly delivered 134.22-metre Lürssen superyacht Deep Blue was spotted arriving in Gibraltar last Friday. Delivered earlier this month, construction on the secretive yacht began in 2021. Her hull was launched and assembled outside the Lürssen yard on a floating dock in July 2023, before her bow section was joined to the rest of the vessel.
Deep Blue features naval architecture developed in-house by her builder and is distinguished by a bold, tiered aft profile.

Case so far:
1. Terraform sued Jane Street, blaming it for the collapse via insider trading and market manipulation
2. Jane Street says its largest trades occurred AFTER material info on UST's health was already public
3. Calls the case a "meritless" attempt to shift blame for a fraud already prosecuted, citing Do Kwon's conviction

Metaplanet is pulling Bitcoin purchases forward in time.
They had a financing program that depended on stock acquisition rights, but those take time.
Exercises depend on:
stock price levels
mNAV levels
market conditions
periods of market recovery
So instead of sitting around waiting for equity-linked financing to come in, Metaplanet said:
“Fine. We’ll issue a 0% bond today, buy Bitcoin now, and repay the bond later when the rights get exercised.”
That is aggressive, but elegant.
It is basically a Bitcoin acquisition bridge loan.
I dig the strategy. Might as well buy more before Saylor pumps your bags.

Metaplanet just issued ¥8 BILLION of 0% ordinary bonds to buy Bitcoin. 0% interest. Maturity in 2027. They are literally borrowing yen for free and converting it into Bitcoin before corporate Japan realizes the vending machine accepts fiat and dispenses monetary thermite. At ~$78k BTC, this could buy roughly 650–700 BTC. If Bitcoin goes to $200k, that stack becomes ~$130M+ against a zero-interest yen liability. This is how the Bitcoin treasury arms race works: You borrow the currency being debased. You buy the asset being monetized. You let the fiat world call it “risky” while they sit in cash earning the purchasing power profile of a melting ice sculpture at a barbecue. Metaplanet gets it. Japan is watching the birth of its own Strategy.
