🚨 HeyELSCAM update (part 12) This whole situation honestly gave me a bit of a Stockholm syndrome feeling, but credit still has its place. After everything that went down with Elscam, seeing @wallchain step in, push back, and actually recover what was owed to participants matters. This outcome came from pressure, receipts, and people refusing to stay quiet, and the result is here. Original terms were broken and the situation stayed messy, but a meaningful part of what was due is finally being delivered. For clarity, here’s what the agreement actually includes: Elscam transferred $150K USDC to Wallchain, and this amount will be distributed directly to participants. Both users with onchain activity and those without are included, which matters given how eligibility was handled during the campaign. Epoch 1 and Epoch 2 are both compensated, with Epoch 2 counted at 50% since it only ran halfway. On top of the USDC, 0.2% of the Elscam token supply is allocated to contributors from Epochs 1 and 2, with a 3-month cliff followed by 6-month vesting (lol) and that token distribution is handled by the Elscam team…… USDC claims are expected to be live by Thursday. So yeah, thanks to Wallchain for stepping up and getting value back for creators, and hopefully this raises the bar for how future campaigns treat people who actually create value.
