@For_Macragge Space Marines are the defining feature of HH/40k, but their best narrative appearances are always from the perspective of normal humans, not as man characters IMHO. When a character can’t feel fear and doesn’t care about pain, it makes the narrative stakes feel kinda low tbh.

@For_Macragge I mean the opening trilogy of the HH is so good because it’s predominantly the remembrancers perspective of how abhuman and terrifying the Astartes and the great crusade are in real life, compared to imperial propaganda.

40k is a lot cooler when Space Marines are kept to a minimum appearance. Normal Guardsmen against unfathomable horrors yet still persist is way cooler than 9 foot tall walking tanks super soldiers.

@samclementt Source - last year I did a (in the great scheme of things paltry) 30hours/125 miles in backyard and got 3rd in a 187mile self supported race in just under 56hrs.

If you're not motivated to go to the gym, there are plenty of awesome sports that will get you pretty juiced up: - Swimming - Rock Climbing - Gymnastics - Rugby - MMA - Waterpolo - Rowing - Boxing - Cross-country skiing - Crossfit - Wrestling - Judo - Ice Hockey The list goes on and on. Find something you enjoy and stick to it, not everyone likes the gym. The important thing is that you move everyday!

@MetlaCU @W98AB Olympic equipment needs to be publicly available. So they develop a a proprietary bike for the olympics, then list it for insane money, which even if you pay, will have a decade long lead time before it’s ever shipped, to get around that rule.

@JWLevitt @W98AB Even if you pay the 60k, the bike isn’t even being shipped until it’s superseded after a couple of Olympic cycles. These price tags are to prevent the public even trying to obtain it, while still being “publicly available equipment”

One of the most underrated follows on Strava. Chikara Omine. Bro will bang out 200+ miles week after week at a high 7 to low 8 minute mile pace, and then show up to a marathon and drop a low 2:20, or a random 4 mile race and average sub 5 min/mi pace.

I still don't understand why people keep running ultra marathons They destroy your joints and consume all your muscles. The long-term effects are simply horrible for your health If you want to maximize health, have elite cardio, maintain muscle mass and boost your hormones, there's nothing better than sprinting and the science backs it up

It’s after the c swap from Luna Wolves to Sons of Horus, but before Horus adopts the black armour after his resurrection. I’m sure he’s described as wearing green armour when he arrives back on Davin.
