Recently, in the @nationalpost, @WillBarclayPCBG highlights an ongoing issue: Canada’s left-wing fixation on Israel, questioning if the outsized criticism of Israel is only about government policy or the plight of Palestinians. ⬇️ 1️⃣ The @CanadianGreens have repeatedly endorsed the boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) movement, one that uniquely targets the Jewish state. 2️⃣ The @NDP has backed policies such as a 2024 House of Commons motion that questioned Israel’s “right to exist” and accused it of “genocide,” despite a lack of evidence. Why is the BC Teachers' Union pushing a BDS motion in support of a "movement" that rejects Israel’s right to exist, applies double standards, fosters a hostile environment for Jewish students, amplifies antisemitic rhetoric, shuts down dialogue, and prioritizes symbolic actions over meaningful solutions? All this does is make Jewish children and their families feel less safe at public schools...

This is completely out of control The BC Teachers’ Federation is supposed to represent teachers and support education in British Columbia, not pass motions on foreign political movements and push activist campaigns that have nothing to do with our kids’ success in the classroom. Yesterday marked the 34th anniversary of the 1992 Buenos Aires bombings, when an Iranian-backed Islamic terrorist group bombed the Israeli embassy, murdering 29 civilians and injuring 200+ more in Argentina's capital. Most of those murdered were Argentinian civilians. The Islamic Republic of Iran has been carrying out terrorist attacks for decades.
