The UCLH surgeon has already admitted in a tweet they cannot remove all the mesh so it is a pointless exercise to remove mesh injured women from a support group with all the upset that entails

A lot more people have been jettisoned from STM for saying that mesh does not shrink and that the UCLH surgeon only does a partial removal on an obturator mesh. I just don't understand that behaviour Why are they putting this surgeon on a pedestal and protecting them?

As regards losing engagement from surgeons, @MeshCampaign has single handedly done more damage to mesh injured women than #mesh will ever do by doing what they did to @DrVeronikis by questioning his intentions. I have never met a more honourable human.

@gina_knows I am fairly new to viewing it ( I only sought support for mesh issues around June this year). I had to say something but now I see that proper dialogue is not really being had I’ll stop. I agree with you that no one should be blocked (either position) - it never helps!

Why is @DrVeronikis being targeted for his declared conflicts? No support from @meshcampaign in this matter. As simple as that.

Since Aug @SimonHarrisTD and @hscpermsec sit on offer from top US full mesh removal surgeon @DrVeronikis to come to Ireland to train docs and perform pro bono surgeries or to perform backlog surgery akin to Wait List Initiative model. @mlchealth @Lisa_J_Smyth @rachelmoss_

We have gained hugely from @DrVeronikis presence on Twitter. Women are now better placed to make an informed decision about removal. We didn't previously have a surgeon willing to be so generous with time and knowledge, so we're deeply appreciative.

That's a blatant lie. No question about it.

Surely if you are carrying out a full removal the removal surgeons should know roughly how much mesh they have to remove. In my case 5cms does not constitute a full removal now does it?

Most of the MDT centres in the UK do not have the skills or the experience to treat mesh injured women. They urgently need training to execute full mesh removals so women do not continue to suffer for the rest of their lives.
