Polkadot was all hype at #ETHBelgrade this year!
⚡️PolkaVM, an advanced RISC-V EVM, received a lot of attention from hackers and visitors.
👀 The #JAM concept and Polkadot 2.0 was also actively discussed!
Huge thanks to our community for making the hackathon and booth amazing this year!
😎KPI Highlights:
- 21 out of 74 hackathon submissions were to Polkadot tracks.
- Two out of five main track winners were Polkadot submissions
- $8,500 Polkadot prize pool
- More submissions than any other project, even those with larger prize pools. The total prize pool this year was $60,000.
Not bad for an ETH conference! 😀
The team was amazing: @ethbelgrade team; @alexdimes7 from @Web3foundation ; @AuntieBec0 and @Big_Tava from @paritytech ; @SachaL__ @danimon @Denis_Pst from @HorsingAroundDR

Coinbase blaming Polkadot for delays,
while the chain confirms in seconds.
This isn’t a network issue,
it’s a you issue.
Polkadot doesn’t need excuses,
it delivers finality fast, cross-chain by default,
and doesn’t lag behind like legacy infra wrapped in a Web2 hoodie.
Decentralization isn't the problem here,
centralized bottlenecks are.

@coinbase is having delays with @Polkadot transfers and blaming it on the network, lol. According to them, the network is experiencing an unusually heavy load of transactions, which is causing the delay, and because the network is decentralized, they said they can not do anything about it. 😅 3 Reasons why this excuse by Coinbase is difficult to believe; - The transactions have been confirmed onchain. User confirmed it. $DOT transactions takes few seconds to confirm. - To check the status of the transaction, users are referred to the help centre. Instead of the polkadot onchain Explorer @subscan_io - $DOT transactions doesn't take 2 hrs to confirm, they are definitely hiding the real reasons. - They have a history of doing things like this. For unknown reasons. The question now is does Coinbase really have an excuse? They said they cannot do something about it because Polkadot is decentralized and there's no one to talk to. Isn't this a legitimate concern? Where do centralized or similar platforms go to when they have support related issues with Polkadot? 💫
