Не уверен, что пришел. LLM именно такое гавно и генерирует почти бесплатно. Скажем оно реально не может сделать дизайн через message-passing (channels in rust), а пытается всегда shared state (Arc in rust). Вероятно потому, что все делают через shared state и ЛЛМ просто научилась так. Или фигачит какие-то дикие if/else-if/else вместо того чтоб сделать как-то по умному через енумы и билдеры

Читаю Святого Габриеля, и он объяснил причину деградации в ИТ про которую я последнее время пишу и говорю что деградация заметна с 60-х годов. Габриель объяснил ее еще в 80-х. Причина — биология, точнее вирусы. Простое гавно делается быстро, и распространяется быстро, как вирус Индустрия всячески поощряет вирусную хуету — они хотят быстрее и быстрее, срубить бабос вперед конкурентов, а там уже похуй, разберемся. Но дело не только в скорости, а еще и в простоте, зачастую в ущерб качеству и долгосрочному успеху. Индустрии не интересны «правильные технологии» и нужно просто гавно чтобы любой долбоеб после курсов с этим справился Идеальный сотрудник для индустрии быстрый и недалекий (которому не надо осваивать тему десятилетиями, чтобы начать двигать булками). One of the consequences of LLM writing code is that adding looking decent is easier, which creates a lot of burden on reviewer side. But reviewer also will use LLM to review this code because there is too much to read in details. Might it happen that, after several iterations, both developers might loose mental model of the existing codebase?

@dj_d_sol @tszzl I use it daily on large codebase and haven't noticed that it is slow. LIke i wait maybe 1minute at most if i don't recompile everything from scratch each time. Another thing is that default linker might be slow, but I guess everyone is using lld or gold these days.

well, i think the problem is two fold here: 1. understand how industry level allocators are implemented 2. exercise allocator implementation to understand the mechanics 3. create an allocator tailored for agave type of load. 1,2 -- gives a strong confidence for all the life that you know how things are working. (3) -- the high risk that it will not be adapted because harder to use and profile. But if it is good enough maybe some validators would prefer it, depends on how good you are at selling. There a lot of very questionable forks of agave that people are using because they were well-sold.
