Von Meyenberg complexes (bile duct hamartomas) = classic mimic of liver mets on lap & frozens. • Small, subcapsular, well-circumscribed lesions • Irregular but bland ductules in dense fibrous stroma • No atypia, no mitoses • No infiltrative edge • Often multiple #GIPath

@slusagar Agree… mimics HSIL but that cytoplasmic blue tinge and something else makes me think it’s a neoplastic glandular proliferation . Primary in situ or secondary colonisation from background malignancy .

on a busy day, this section of cervix from a hysterectomy could mimic HSIL/SCC... however, this is #GYNpath colonization of patient's known #GUpath urothelial carcinoma (s/p high stage cystectomy)

1/2. Middle aged chap complaining of nasal congestion and gritty material dripping down the back of his throat then later sneezed out this foreign body which he gave to his GP. At lower power it would be easy to write it off as non-descript “mucoinflammatory material”..
