They tell poor people to ‘vote with their dollars’ while corporations buy politicians with actual millions. One side has pocket change, the other has super PACs. Then they act shocked when the system keeps favoring the rich.

Housing used to be a place to live. Now it’s an ‘asset class’ for investors and hedge funds. They buy up entire neighborhoods, jack up rents, and call it the free market. When did shelter become a luxury investment instead of a human right?

The Supreme Court has once again gotten it wrong, breaking from the spirit of the of the law and Congress’ intent. In a massive blow to our communities, they just greenlit Trump’s plan to strip TPS from thousands of people who have fled humanitarian crises, some who have been living and working in the US for decades.    This is devastating to people who have built their lives here. I will not stop fighting for a pathway to citizenship for families across America.

5 million Americans can't afford health care. Yet, $14+ MILLION tax dollars are being spent on an algae-infested pool, and now our National Guard is being tasked with "securing" it. Apparently, guarding algae is a higher priority than ensuring Americans can see their doctors.

Social Security, Medicare, the police, sanitation, fire departments, libraries, schools, beaches, bridges, roads, parks, sewer and transit systems are all government-operated services funded through taxes. When they condemn “socialism” what they really mean is, “your taxes should only help the super-rich.”
